On steam I can buy Oblivion: GOTY editon or Oblivion: GOTY deluxe edition. The former is cheaper and has the shivering isles and knights of the nine DLC, the former is more expensive and has all DLCs.

Are the minor DLCs worth the money? I'm a cheapskate FYI, or else I wouldn't ask.

In all seriousness, what's the difference in price? Typically packages/bundles are cheaper than the sum of all the individual items. I'd get the Deluxe version if the difference in content is significant and the difference in price is reasonable.

No. Don't waste your money on the minor DLC's. Shivering Isles and KoTN are some of the greatest expansions and definitely redeemed the game in my eyes.

Both come with basegame and the two major DLCs.

some of the other minor DLC is good, the new houses are all pretty decent and include some interesting and unique game-play features as well as mini quests, so I'd say it's worth getting them if the additional cost isn't so much.

How come poor people who shit on Bethesda all day don't just pirate everything?

 No.10029

>>10026

Jokes on you, I pirated Oblivion and got it legally only when I bought TES Anthology. It came will all DLC

The price difference is minuscule as I recall, and the deluxe edition has a bunch of niceties like the wizard's tower and a castle, both of which you can own.

Steam is so successful and sucks in money so easily because it actually managed to be more convenient than piracy.

Fast checkout, easy to find the games, always improving their organization, and blazing downloads (sometimes)…because they actually know how p2p works and that it's a good thing.

It all comes down to convenience in most things. Politics, morality, love, war, law, propaganda, development.

I don't shit on Bethesda though.

This guy gets it. Its not like Bethesda are some poor indie studio anymore. Also they're single player, so pirating them doesn't cut you out of multiplayer

 No.10132

>>10114

Their ability to do things is still on par with a poor indie studio though.
