In all seriousness, what's the difference in price? Typically packages/bundles are cheaper than the sum of all the individual items. I'd get the Deluxe version if the difference in content is significant and the difference in price is reasonable.

No. Don't waste your money on the minor DLC's. Shivering Isles and KoTN are some of the greatest expansions and definitely redeemed the game in my eyes.

some of the other minor DLC is good, the new houses are all pretty decent and include some interesting and unique game-play features as well as mini quests, so I'd say it's worth getting them if the additional cost isn't so much.

The price difference is minuscule as I recall, and the deluxe edition has a bunch of niceties like the wizard's tower and a castle, both of which you can own.

Steam is so successful and sucks in money so easily because it actually managed to be more convenient than piracy.

Fast checkout, easy to find the games, always improving their organization, and blazing downloads (sometimes)…because they actually know how p2p works and that it's a good thing.

It all comes down to convenience in most things. Politics, morality, love, war, law, propaganda, development.
