Hi, I've been working on and off on this and I am just looking for advice on my race replacment mod, right now I'm doing my preliminary sculpt for my Orc replacer, here is his head, the body is just the human one which is largely done but a few important things remain like animations before it would be ready to add to Morrowind, also it's built for Open MW exclusively since I want to take this all the way and I need features that don't exist in Morrowind to do this. Open MW doesn't support even the basics I need to get this to work within the engine, I'm not using .nif.

I aimed to get my orc face somewhere between Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, my meshes will be higher poly than Skyrim and closer to Oblivion, they are anatomically correct to my own skills which are quite limited.

Humans, Argonians and Khajiit are varying amounts of complete.

The ears are still early.

Mostly what I want is some criticism of my Orc, I'm not worried about making it 100% lore consistent, but I want it to feel like it belongs within The Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind.

Also here's my Argonian with the Oblivion Argonian head for comparison.

Pretty solid work, my man.

The color's gonna be important for that, you gotta pick the right palette for the texture for it to mix. But as far as models go, my only problem with that head of yours is the lack of a head slope, Oblivion orcs had an exagerated head slope which made them look micro-cephalic and made their faces too YYYUUGE, so you'll have to find a sweet spot there. I think it's also important to lower and widen the mouth and make the chin and jaw more prominent, don't be afraid to exaggerate the bones on their face a bit, think of ape faces.

As far as details go -and assuming you're making more than one head- it'd be nice to see at least one fully-closed mouth with only the tusks protruding, you might also want to make the ears a bit more "namekian".

Here's some reference pictures for you to catch some ideas for how to better shape your Orcs, keep us updated on your work!.

the head slopes it just isn't as visible at that angle

I'm making 2 heads per race only, a male and a female.

I lowered the mouth a bit but I have no interest in going any lower.

Looking good, chin could sill use some prominence.

Fixed the ears, moved the mouth up a bit more, polished it up a bit, made the jaw more prominent, made the teeth look better, fixed the nose.

I'm mostly satisfied with him at this point, I'm going to leave him for a bit and do the female Orc,

Hey anon, would you consider redoing the orcs for skyrim? That is, making them look less blizzard and more Tolkien.

Personally I think orcs should look rotten, deformed and corrupted

I guess I could take this into consideration, isn't there already a mod that does this though?

I did a quick over of the Female Orc replacer, I think this one needs a lot more worc

I like this a lot. The mouth is a bit too open for my taste and the eyes could be a little bit smaller and slanted.

Tolkien's orcs are like manifestations of corruption itself. They're completely hideous to look upon for that reason.

TES Orcs on the other hand are just a bit coarse and savage looking. They aren't supposed to be rotten mutants, they're a proud and strong race in their own right.

I've already made mental notes about the eye shape and the mouth, I know they are wrong but I just haven't bothered changing them, what I mostly did wrong was the brows though, they are all kinds of unintentionally hideous.

I had a go at the Mer male base in between being demotivated by my Orc female, I'm aiming for yet again a mixture of all the different TES titles, I'm not particularly fond of the Skyrim Dunmer since their features are way too strong and their jaws are a tad too wide, personally other than the ears I like this mer.

I thought the orc female was pretty fucking good, only those two minor details.

>I'm not particularly fond of the Skyrim Dunmer since their features are way too strong and their jaws are a tad too wide, personally other than the ears I like this mer.

Your Job on the dunmer face is pretty much spot on what the average dunmer should look like in my opinion.

>other than the ears I like this mer.

if you ask me, the ears should be a lot bigger, it gives them murch more personality.

I fixed the Orc but she could still be better, but I like her now. I improved the Dunmer and extended his ears a bit, but not too much, I want them to at least stay manageable, also the ears on the Dunmer you posted start really high so they look a lot bigger than they are.

>>10773

Surprisingly no. All the current skyrim orc mods are waifu shit.

>>10786

True, I guess falmer are more like Tolkien's orcs. I'm not saying tes orcs should be mindless beasts, just that they should be frightening enough to scare away other races. Skyrim orcs are hardly uglier than the other mer. They basically look like grey humans with tusks.
