Is Nexus Mod Manager just shovelware written by a bunch of 15 year old acne-ridden kids? This price of dogshit fucked up my registry and now I can't launch skyrim. I can't even launch it with all plugins disabled. I've tried uninstalling and reinstall NMM, I've gone in and check my loadorder.txt for issues, I've rebooted, I've reintstalled SKSE. Still nothing works

I did back my shit up on another hard drive before the install broke. When my install did break, I just deleted it and tried using the back up. That didn't work either because nexus had somehow fistfucked my registry. Somehow my computer was not only having trouble with the corrupted install, but ALL installs.
I had to delete everything except the savegames. Go figure. Somehow NMM had left tons of garbage in the registry that completely fucked up the computer's ability to run any and all Skyrim installs, so I had to clear the registry too.
That's a testament to just fucking terrible NMM is. It's a botnet that takes control out of your hands and tries to "help" you by managing everything
I've switched to mod loader.

Back on Topic… The problem with Nexus is that they assume the user is too stupid to navigate their way around in install folder, so they try to get their shitty code to do it instead. And of course it's unstable garbage full of loose ends, because Nexus decided to release it in early beta without any real conviction of actually completing the program.

Yes. Not only that, NMM was responsible for 2 DDoS attacks on the servers. Both of them due to some unseen bugs in the NMM's code. Things got so bad they had to disconnect the NMM from the servers both times to search for these bugs.
I looked at the way the NMM works. It quite literally can flood a server just like a botnet until it crashes. Just waiting for someone to exploit this and crash the whole site. I know it will happen eventually.

Ever since I had them change my username on the Nexus, I haven't been able to "download with NMM". It's always manual downloads and opening the zips through the program, then placing the mod from miscellaneous category into the one it belongs to. Also, category folders just like to randomly delete. I had this trouble with the College of Winterhold overhaul. Fucking mod just got stuck in there with no listing to uninstall it when I needed to update the mod.
