Saadias lies are as transparent as a Maormer in disguise. Even when you ask her about the Alik'r at the very beginning, she goes "oh no! they found me" in the most fake tone. She's aware of the Alik'r dude in the dungeons, but feigns surprise about the Alik'r being in town. Speaking out against the Thalmor would probably get you a free round at the inn rather than anything else in Hammerfell, where anti-Aldmeri sentiments are the official position. Alik'r warriors aren't just mercenaries, they're devotees of Ebonarm. As a Fighters Guild analogue, sure they'll take on random errands if the money is good, but working for the Aldmeri Dominion against a noble of Taneth would be 1. treason and 2. not something Ebonarm approves of. Kematu is a bro, he's just trying to do his job and his job is bringing a lying, manipulative noblewoman who betrayed her own city and people to justice.

I was ready to kill them all, but then Kematu said something to the effect of, "Look we don't have to fight. She probably sent you here under false pretences. Help us catch this lying bitch and you get a cut." Dude is a bro who doesn't take a life lightly.

Saadia. For what purpose would they spend all that fucking effort to track down someone wielding all the influence of a barmaid? It'd be one thing if she was still a political opponent, but a fugitive who doesn't pose a threat to anyone?

Why does Saadia refer to Hulda as mum?
Anonymous 10/21/15 (Wed) 14:20:51 No. 9246
>>9223
Hulda is an older spinster who runs an inn in a city with a decent amount of redguards, where the Ali'kir are forbidden to go.
Cuckoulding is canon. Race-mixing being frowned upon is canon. Hulda mantled Louis CK and took a redguard to the uterus.
Anonymous 10/21/15 (Wed) 15:31:25 No. 9247
>>9246
Well, considering racemixing results in the children being of the mother's race and Hulda is a Nord, Saadia couldn't actually be her daughter. I think it's just a word used in that specific context of Huldar being the innkeeper - similar to how Hulda refers to Mikael as "son." Anyways, there are only three Redguard men in Whiterun; Nazeem, Amren and Brenuin - the former two being married and the latter a filthy beggar.

Kematu, obviously.
You can't be sure that either is telling the truth, so it only makes sense to go with the option that doesn't result in death. Better to stun and kidnap a woman wrongfully, than to kill a bunch of people wrongfully.
