Let's talk about non-English TES releases.

I changed to Nipponese voice acting within an hour of starting Skyrim. I'll say it's way better than the original, Septimus and Hermaeus Mora in particular are very good.

Some of the translations seem very questionable to my non-expert knowledge: Followers saying something is "impossible (for me to do)" is ありえない (pic related I guess), which I've only ever seen in the "this can't be really happening" and "you're impossible" sense (though maybe it can be). A lot of English phrases are translated literally too (rat hole).

>Way better than default Skyrim

Not very difficult.

Hermaeus Mora sounded kind of like Bane in vanilla Skyrim.

>Make khajiit and Argonians Japanese

>Game now sounds 100% better and with subtitles wou will soon become Bilignual.

To actually do this, get the voices.bsa files for each language, extract the lines you want to use to one folder and turn that folder into a BSA when you've filled it with the languages from the .BSA's you've collected and name it as the normal .bsa file for voices are named to get going.

It works, I've done it with TESIV once, but had to undo once I got my hands on voice mods and the like.

It's especially a treat to get Daedra to talk foreign, as it adds that extra otherworldy aspect about them.

Daedra sound much better when german, because you know, hellThalmors.

This sounds really cool, but I feel like roleplaying as a person who understands all these languages with no npc being slightly impressed by it, would annoy the fuck out of me.
also
>implying Thalmor are Thalmors
They are straight up Elders of Zion.

The Thalmor are suppose to be Thalmors!

The Thalmor are suppose to be zionist jews!

I'll add Zionist to the list but the Thalmor filter is for morally conservative/authoritarian/invading/conspiracy/ideological groups, which the N.azis are also a part of.

The Thalmor remind me of /fringe/ Thalmorsm where the Aryan race is descended from space angels who interbred with primitive man and only through purifying their bloodline they can return to divinity.

Just did Sheograth's quest.

Holy crap his Nipponese voice is perfect!

As a Gerfag, I'll happily say that the German dub is very, very lackluster.

For one thing, I think the German version got even less different voice actors than the original version (if it is physically possible to have less voice actors than a Bethesda game in the first place). For another, the audio quality just feels…off. It's like watching a bad anime dub and realizing the lip sync is hilariously off.

There are a few exceptions - Jarl Balgruuf actually sounds quite badass, for instance, but for the most part, I'd avoid the German version like the plague.

Thwy never bothered doing a full translation of Oblivion.
they only translated the opening movie, subtitles and the names of some items.
I just find high fantasy to be more comfy when in Spanish.
