For really good mods (like Falskaar or New Vegas Bounties series) I wouldn't mind donating… but selling? How the fuck are they even going to do that considering most mods are a community effort using resources and ideas from a large variety of various other mods. Not to mention that most mods are half-completely and barely tested - with absolutely zero control over compatibility with other mods. Getting more than just a few mods to work together nicely is a huge game-breaking clusterfuck if you're computer/andor/Mod illiterate like most of the Steam Workshop plebs are. How are they going to manage permissions for content, or quality control?

Yes! Because Bethesda knows how much we loved their Horse Armor DLC. This is just like a never-ending flow of Horse Armor… except broken, amateurish, animu-inspired, and incomplete. I'd definitely pay $10+ for a WIP. Mod authors are generally pretty good about completing their work and providing top-notch compatibility and tech support.

Funny thing with sims 2 modding that the FREE stuff you can get from say modthesims is a lot better quality than the paid content elsewhere. I think sims 4 has some mods4sale too somewhere and the quality is just as shit vs from people who actually enjoy the game+modding.

I feel like this is going to lead to a decline in quality for mods. Instead of working hard to make one really good mod, people might just separate it into smaller parts that you have to buy separately.
Then, there's the fact that people can just steal free mods and try and sell them on the workshop for a quick buck.
Then, there's the fact that if you pay for a mod and it fucks up your game or just doesn't work, you only have that 24 hour period to get a refund, and your only recourse after that is to ask the modder to fix it.
This situation isn't going to be good for anyone.

This is just the test-bed for the Fallout 4 mod scene. Skyrim is fucking old, but still played enough that they can get some good feedback. They've almost certainly got a new TES or FO game being announced at E3, so if this works, they'll use it as the framework to charge for mods for the next game. If it doesn't work, they'll just tweak it a bit and ram it down your throats anyhow.

moonpath to elsweyr ain't too bad other than the voice acting which isn't too good aside from some standouts. They followed the lore pretty closely except the maybe the airship but then again one of those was in morrowind along with indiana jones, numerous pokemon references, arlowes banhammer and a magical blade called eltonbrand. Lets just say morrowind wasn't too inclined on the lore.
wyrmstooth is pretty good since they actually try to make it slightly lore friendly and if you don't mind projects in development beyond skyrim has a pretty faithful recreation of most of bruma and northern cyrodiil.

Yeah, you do meet the ghost of the CoC. Supposedly, the author made some last minute rewrites after being informed about the CoC becoming Sheograth thing, but I didn't see any sign of them.
Like I said, the story line is ridiculous. His grasp of lore is shaky as all fuck, he basically just ignores Shivering Isles, he completely misinterprets the point of Oblivion's Thieves Guild quest-line, and you even get Umbra during the quest. But I still consider the mod worth playing just to explore all the new areas.

Getting Umbra
This is some dumb ass shit. I guess I can just ignore the shit lore interpretation and drop Umbra in a lake somewhere. But you think even a mild understanding of the lore would be something you'd like to have a grasp on before making it such a big part of your questline.
Also apparently the last minute rewrites were done to add the ghost thing. Apparently you were going to meet Sheogorath, to keep in line with Shivering Isles, but the guy who was going to do the voice wouldn't send the maker his files so he just changed it to be the ghost of the COC.
Though I suppose I can deal with it, I liked Moon and Star, despite it forcing a canon interpretation of the Nerevarine down your throat.

Any of your n'wahs take a gander at Bethesdas repsonse to paid mods? Its actually pretty relieving and greatly restored my faith in the developers.
"Not only do we want more mods, easier to access, we re anti-DRM as far as we can be. Most people don t know, but our very own Skyrim DLC has zero DRM. We shipped Oblivion with no DRM because we didn't like how it affected the game,"
"There are things we can control, and things we can't. Our belief still stands that our community knows best, and they will decide how modding should work. We think it's important to offer choice where there hasn't been before."
I think this is the kind of shit we should be thankful for makes me glad bethesda hasn't sunken into the black hole of greed and fart sniffing like a lot of devs have.
