Should I, /tes/? I played through it with a friend once, hated the main plot, but is it worth buying? If I'm buying it, I'm buying it on the ps3, for the record. Or should I just stick with Morrowind?

 No.6939

No, there is no reason to ever play oblivion on consoles. It has probably the worst vanilla experience compared to Morrowind and Skyrim

 No.6941

>>6939

Well, the mods don't appeal to me either (I actually kinda hate mods). So it's just not worth it either way, then?

Evenif you're not into adding content, the graphics mods can make it (somewhat) less ugly

>>6944

Eh, it doesn't bother me that much. Might be because I'm half-blind anyway.

Yous…yous is the best I ever seen, goy. Ya might just be the one fatold in the Torah! The best damn goy there's gonna be! I got all kindsa flawed products ta sell ya, goy, and so does the rest of the tribe. Just for you, cause ya's a gift from Yahweh and all, I'm gonna say ya deserve 5% off, our treat.

Offer not valid unless ya buy every fuckin' piece of shit AAA studio game released for the next FIFTEEN YEARS ya dumb goy bastid!

You…you're alright. I don't wanna turn this into a "are mods shit or not" thread but I haven't had a comment make me smile like that in a long time.

I don't deny that a lot of games (Bethesda's in particular) are absolutely half-baked, but I'll be damned if somebody tries to convince me most player-made mods aren't just as half-baked.

Besides, I'm a poor goy and don't have a decent gaming PC, or the funds to put one together right this second, and I like playing with a controller…and don't have an ecksbawks or the desire to go buy a controller for one.

But thank you for the kind offer, my Jewish friend.

If you're going to try to steer away from mods, that's up to you, but at least download the unofficial patches. Even if you're a purist in the sense that you need to have it fit the developer's vision lel you should take advantage of the community support that fixes the game even after the developer has abandoned it.

Oblivion

Oblivion DLCs

Shivering Isles

Sometimes I think there needs to be a modding guide for oblivion or at least someone needs to dig up an ancient one from old /v/ oblivion generals.

I think you missed teh part where I said if I'm buying it, I'm buying it on console.

I did

>I'm buying it on console

 No.7108

Because I'm wanting to round out my game collection for my PS3, and my only computer is a very basic laptop, and the hard drive is fucking up anyway. I bought Skyrim for PC (received it as a gift for playstation) for the mods. I still prefer it on the Playstation. Not making that mistake again.

Besides, shit like Oblivion and Skyrim were designed more for consoles anyway, might as well take advantage of it. Morrowind, on the other hand, deserves nothing less than PC.

I suppose there's an admirable perfectionist quality to an empty shelf that will never hold anything.

 No.7112

>>7111

Dark Souls, Skyrim, The Walking Dead, Mass Effect 2…

Though I should invest in a shelf. That's not a bad idea.

>The console fag later went on to spend forty years working the salt mines in order to purchase a shelf of his own

 No.7114

Speaking of salt mines, have you been rolling around in one? Get to the point and tell me whether I should buy Oblivion or not.

 No.7115

That just goes without saying. For your convenience, though, of course not.

But, Anon, the PS3 has literally not a single game.

 No.7119

>>7115

I see. Good talk, then. So, it's literally worthless unless I'm a mod-loving n'wah fetcher?

>>7116

Reality said the same thing, but I made such a good argument, Reality was forced to agree with me.

 No.7126

Reality doesn't real. You were arguing with yourself, you crazy consolefag.

 No.7142

H-holy shit.

I think I just CHIM

 No.7192

>>7119

Buy it, I've owned it on 360 since release and still play it to this day, without mods. Still GGoAT imo

 No.7208

Oblivion was kinda pretty I guess?

Just play Morrowind though.
