I haven't really played in about a year either, and when I drifted off, everyone was jumping on the HDT titty physics train - so most new stuff is probably BBP/TBBP enabled and you'll probably need the latest XPMS skeleton.

UNP and CBBE are still probably the most used, and I think UNP types have the most clothing options. As for textures, I use a custom mash-up. For the body I use Mature Skin since it has more blemishes, scars, moles, and what not which look more natural in Skyrim. I also have a custom edited version just for Redguards which gives them proper black-girl nipples, since apparently Redguards are about as popular with most Skyrim players as real n'wahs are at a country club, so they always end up with pale pink nordic nips that are barely distinguishable from the rest of the tit. For the face, I THINK I'm still using the Mature Skin facial textures, with normals taken from Real Girls to get rid of the heavy facial creases and give her a more youthful look. The textures might be from Real Girls as well. It's been a while.

I'd post a better pic, but I don't really have any pictures of her naked or in skimpy clothes. I don't even generally use clothing replacers for her body type. I just use vanilla clothes since apparently it's asking too much to just simply tailor the clothes for the new body type without also having to make them ultra slutty.

So I found a body mod I like, but hdt is rather frustrating as I can't seem to find npc's with hdt havok object when looting.

Other body mods:

CHSBHC: Basically this is CBBE only extra trashy with cartoonishly over exaggerated tits and ass. It's main claim to fame was that it had the first jiggle physics and the first chubby bodies.

Sevenbase: It's UNP only with really awesome legs, and god awful tits. Supposedly there are variants that fix the tits problem, but the naming scheme they all seem to use is too damn vague to easily sort through them

CNHF: This started out promising, but the modder started drinking the Thalmor mangina kool-aid during it's production, which seem to cause his talent and work drive to take a nose dive. It's a more 'solid' and 'realistic' body than the other body mods( which isn't actually a bad thing), but lacks a lot of the options the other mods have.

Ladybody: eastern European trash. Literally it's bootleg Poser models that have been poorly ported into Skyrim. And several of the people working on it are batshit crazy. I think even Lover's Lab kicked these people out and extremely questionable Russian mod sites are the only place to find it now.

That's less the fault of the modders and more Bethesda's for using the same damn body texture for all the races in the first place, and somehow expecting it to look alright no matter if they're pink, brown, green, grey, or yellow.

I can't really blame that on Bethesda, since they had to cover everything up with stanky perma-underwear to keep the Anitas and soccer moms from flipping their collective shit. Modders could have made several copes of their base texture, customized them into unique variations for all the races, and then just had a plugin pointing those races to the new textures. Ultimately, I blame the players because there's apparently no demand for this kind of stuff except for autists like me.

Finally managed to get hdt collisions working, such a pain in the ass.

I used AnTiWoMaAgNoT's texture replacer. Every other texture mod I tried with CBBE made the ass look weird in shadows, but this one worked well.

I'm a bigger fan of ass than tits, so I tried for hours to find a texture mod that made the ass look decent in all shading environments. The mature skin mod worked for a while, but in the shadows my character's ass crack would lose any kind of definition and it would just look.. weird.
