Yes, I've compiled distant lands with all mods on, even if grass mods that aren't normally enabled. Anyway, I have two problems I never had before.

First is that while distant land works, it loads low polly versions of everything too fucking near. It pops up right in front of my eyes almost all the time.

Second is that even though I've built shrine of Boethiah and ended Dagoth Ur, distant land loads them as if they didn't happen. I haven't tested this one, but it may be just that save is older than MGE XE.

Does anyone know how to fix these?

Fraid you can't, not really.

The first problem is because MGE XE loads distant land where the vanilla render distance ends. You could, normally, increase that in MGE, the non-XE version, but such functionality is broken in XE and it's not worth downgrading for. FPS Optimizer lets you increase the draw distance up to double of what it normally is, but it's automated.

The second is because distant land, while it can render activators, doesn't take into account initially disabled activators or enabled then became disabled activators. Nothing you can do about that.

You actually can if you make a plugin that places dummy statics where the activators are and then regen your distant statics using that plugin or not using that plugin depending on what you want to see/have done.

You can also do this, not sure if it would work for the Ghostgate, but I haven't messed with distant land that much.
