All right, since most fetchers here are bitching about the decisions Bethesda has made in TES games, this thread is for how YOU would create the next elder scrolls game, if you had the power.

Assume you have all the resources Bethesda Game Studios has, so you can't go too overboard with the costs, and also the game has to be finished in at least 8 years.

Changes/additions to existing lore?

Quests?

Voice acting?

Gameplay, combat, magic?

HUD elements, menus?

Main story, location, dialogue choices etc…

Anything related is allowed. Personally, I would steer TES towards the Daggerfall way of more random generation, and less hand-crafted stuff (meaning bigger map, more content, big cities)

I think you're a pathetic sub-human scum if you're still obsessing over morrowind and not being able to get over it. No offence.

>I think you're a pathetic sub-human scum if you're still obsessing over morrowind and not being able to get over it

So realizing that Morrowind is a great game and wanting its successors to be more like it makes you "sub-human scum". Have you considered that maybe you just like sucking dicks?

>wanting its successors to be more like it

There's a difference in wanting more like Morrowind and wanting an exact replica of Morrowind. Sure, Morrowind is a great game, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's flaws.

This thread was for seeing if you can think of what you would really want from an Elder Scrolls game, instead of just bitching about them.

Relax, and be mindful that this is an open forum which by law does not discriminate against individuals due to their circumstance, and thus many of our regulars are somewhere in the Autism spectrum. I see you've met one or two already.

Say Hi and "Morrowind" alot and indulge them, please.

This board has 12 users we have all had this discussion before so at this point it is just a giant circlejerk, even more so than just saying Morrowind

>Changes/additions to existing lore?

More stuff on the Falmer and Bretons.

>Quests?

Actual choice as we saw in Fallout: New Vegas, for example; multiple ways to actually complete the quest instead of just "do it" or "don't do it."

>Voice acting?

It's continuously improving. Less American VAs, though, more European VAs.

>Gameplay, combat, magic?

Build upon Skyrim, but add more weight to combat, more diverse weapon types, more moves in combat, et cetera (same stuff we've all moaned about before).

>HUD elements, menus?

Again, Skyrim had it nailed down - minimal, clean UI - the only problem in Skyrim's UI was the map which was pretty to look at but not very functional as Morrowind's map was.

>Main story, location, dialogue choices etc…

TES:VI will be in Hammerfell, so I'd like a complex war against the Thalmor which acts almost like an RTS, but in first-person; make it dynamic: what the civil war in Skyrim was intended to be. The main story arc will likely involve swordsinging and Hoonding, so, please Bethesda, make it interesting; make it deep; make it extensive; make it fascinating.

I'm hoping for a more interesting main story myself, maybe something involving HoonDing and a bit that would be a bit more complicated than "satan is invading, save the world" or "dragon is eating the world, save it".

I just hope they won't simplify the redguard lore too much, if it's set in Hammerfell that is.
