Seen any elves? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

So let me start by saying that i'm a newfetcher in TES, i just started playing Skyrim a couple of months ago and i'm enjoying it quite thouroughly, i've also been pokin around the games' lore and been lurking here for a month now, and one thing that stands out is that most people here like to suck morrowind's dick pretty hard, why is the game the "pinnacle of human achievement", and what would compell me to play it.

Keep in mind that the whole lore of TES is right up my alley, with all the wars, the creation of the universe, and everything else.

That said, try and convince me of playing Morrowind, and don't even bother with Arena or Daggerfall, that's too archaic for me.

Go.

Stay away from Morrowind, newfag.

 No.8437

Because Morrowind was made by people who were passionate about what they were doing, and thus created a masterpiece.

I understand that it seems hard to try to play so aged games, but trust me on this, once you get immersed you won't realize any of it.

And if you don't listen to me, then hell with you.

 No.8450

If you need being convinced then you don't deserve playing it.

Could I at least recommend the Morrowind Graphics Extender and Overhaul? It makes it look pretty without really changing the gameplay

(I also have the watercolour texturepack too)

Just get the graphics extender and MGSO you fetcher.

I haven't kept up, does the water color mod have a patch for better bodies or any of the head mods yet?

Morrowind's appeal to me is in its simplicity. No lengthy, boring tutorial mission, just here's a fucking dagger and good luck. As broken and shoddy as it feels at times, you'll eventually understand the mechanics and even enjoy them.

>Morrowind is the simplistic title

>you'll eventually understand the mechanics

As opposed to

>You'll get your hand held from beginning to end in a linear fashion

Oh, that sounds complex as all hell. Thank you for enlightening us, Todd.

Morrowind is a great game. Get the graphics extender and overhaul and you're good to go.

The one tweak I've made is getting a leveling mod in order to try and contain my autism when it comes to maximizing stat gains. It just sucks the fun out of everything having to plan skill ups each and every level. I recommend Linora's Levleing Mod. You can choose to automatically get 3x, 4x or 5x every level (I choose 3x cause otherwise it gets too easy)

Morrowind is a perfect game. Get nothing, including Morrowind. No mods because it's perfect, no Morrowind because you aren't.
