It's all pretty strictly cited. It will give you the basics and the concrete stuff, though it is beginning to stray into speculative shit more and they're frankly not up to it.

Once you've got a better handle on lore, imperial library has out of game texts, fan lore, a forum of autists, etc.

Here are the site timelines, all of them miss little tidbits now and then so don't expect perfection. UESP is probably the best in just being all around useful. TIL is a good site but their user-based pages almost never get updated it seems. TESwiki's timeline is kind of a cluster fuck in that all the dates are included on one page, the dawn and merethic era material is still unsourced, but generally accurate.
