Mod Idea:

Play as one of the Daedra races as some "cast out" daedra struggling to survive and gain the favour of a Daedric Prince while extracting revenge from those who damned you to exile.

Game space is set in several planes of oblivion and maybe a trip or two to Tamriel.

Play as Aurean, Mazken, Dremora, Xivilai, Seducer and Herne (maybe more)

Is this Awesome Y/N?

The whole point of daedric realms is that everything including their denizens it's completely subject to the whims to their Prince, unlike Mundus, where everybody does whatever they want.

What you want is something like Battlespire, and in fact I would pay top dollar for a game about Divath Fyr excellent adventures on the oblivion realms.

Indeed. Divayth Fyr is one excelent dude.

That sounds like something Bethesda would have done 10 or 20 years ago, but now they wouldn't dare since the casuals only want the most generic of western fantasy

there is writing in the games that mentions daedra switching loyalties, splintering over ideological differences, and the elemental daedra even having reputations for being flighty and disloyal. so if you're implying that daedra have no self-determination, the lore disagrees with you.

another mod idea: pirates!

Destroy altmer fleets !

Drink with most famous capitans on nirn!

Rape Hlaalu merchants for profits!

Get fucked by a fleet of sea snakes!

Go to akavir!

Make your own colony on an exotic island!

I dunno about this, naval combat always -sounds- like it will be really fun, but it never actually is in any games.

I defy anyone to name a game that has fun naval combat.

Did you envisage this as being a strategy game (you control a boat/fleet) or a 1st person type thing where you control the captain and give orders?

i thought about sea battles like about arena but with whole team and on boats

Maybe if you had more lands to visit it would be somewhat interesting, sailing around the large Tamriel landmass sounds boring

I think Mazken and Seducer are the same race, then again my lore isn't very good, do people consider Daedroth a smart race? would people be interested in Daedroth as a playable race?

I think it would be cool if the realms were there to explore, kind of like being on the opposite side, and you can join a faction that allows you to be summoned to Nirn by the races there and if at least once one of them summoned you just to trap your soul.

IIRC, the Daggerfall mod 'Daedrafall' tried to do something like this

Times are changing. Skyrim success was given by the nordic setting. If they would have pulled again a generic fantasy game they wouldn't have topped oblivion. Now TES is big enough to have hordes of nerds that would love to see elsweyr or blackmarsh and would defend to death the alien design. BGS would get free shilling too.

Skyrim milked the nordic dragon thing when Game of Thrones was hot shit. it attracted trend-whoring casuals and sold them on this pseudo-RPG formula that lets them pretend to be "nerdy", while careful not to make them feel stupid or challenge their attention span. Fallout 4 should give you an idea of how the next TES will be.

I can't remember GoT being hot shit in 2011
