A question for experienced modelers, bashers, and painters:

What a good cheap way to deal with top-heavy plastic models?

For example, SDE Rex (pic 2) has a forward-heavy stance and a club that's heavy enough to completely unbalance him. He's good when standing still but it doesn't take much to knock him the fuck over.

Glue metal washer rings to the bottom

You're talking about a series that has a main antagonist who's conceptualization of viable armor is wearing a spiky strap-on dildo

I know anime is silly, but that doesn't excuse ayy lmao-esque proportions on a 3d model, it's not a smear frame or something. Someone had to sit down, and either handsculpt or make this 3d model, and then go "yeah, this looks good", and then be OK with them being mass produced.

The anatomy is really fucked but its still good enough to jack off on.

 No.222915

>>222914

It's hard to jack off to something when it looks like it was an unused asset for John Carpenter's The Thing.

I know it sounds incredible but some people obsess over that enough to be proud of owning it for sexual purpose.

Yeah.

Fucked up world no?

And you have no conceptualization of using "spoilers" to hide your disgusting chinese graffiti.

It's not nearly the worst though. There are some garage kit sculptors that make mega boobed figures of everything, and at lest one guy who makes really creepy anorectic looking figures with extra long limbs.

Nothing beats Calne ca for body horror figures though.

>>222880

Metal counterweights in the bases or sculpt a scenic base that adds weight and and balance.

>>223016

So that's where that's from.

I remember seeing some girl cosplaying as that miku thing on an event I attended a while ago.

 No.223031

>>223019

Yea the Calne thing is from some Vocaloid music video made by a guy called Deino. Check out youtube for his stuff.

I wish he'd go all out with his own horror thing instead of just making Vocaloid spin-offs though.

washers aren't an option in this case; slotted base

 No.223062

>>223061

Get ball bearings that fit between the top of the under side of the base and the surface its sitting on and fill the base out.

Also there are manufacturers out there which cast pewter bases in the common sizes.

Also Impact! makes base weights for slotted bases.

I think you might be misinterpreting the pose. Her hips are tilted and turning a bit. Your outline interprets the hips as facing straight and stiff when they're not. You may also be misinterpreting the butt's position entirely.

That'd make sense.

I sketched it while I was sleep deprived.

ball bearings aren't bad advice. Unfortunately, Super Dungeon Explore doesn't quite use common bases (cobblestone mold pattern, 40mm for Rex) that could easily be found elsewhere

>>223063

good find. No direct 40mm solutions but plenty to work with. thanks
