Its a classic. There's a definite plot which follows through and was fun to explore. It was interesting to see the contrast between the hammerites and the pagans. Before playing the game I didn't know what pagans were so it taught me a lot.

I really liked the different types of arrows used in this game, moss arrows to quiet the movement to move more stealthily and water arrows to put out torches to move unseen were ingenious implementations.

The lockpicking also gave the game additional depth. It wasn't just "you've unlocked this door" you had to work at it. This made the game quite unique for its time.
