it's not dead, it's not even halfway through the transition from /goodchristian/ to here
besides, /goodchristian/ only ever got a few posts a day so really any post is a good post
although it depends on what your definition of 'good' is
I define good as whatever pleases me, and if /thought/ was suddenly as active as 4/pol/ with the type of userbase as /goodchristian/, then i would be well pleased. This is based on a need for belonging, to both people who would like to discuss religion and to people who would like to discuss how religion fits in with today's modern world.
Of course, there is more to religion than just how it fits in to today's modern world and indeed there is more to today's modern world than how it relates to religion.
Existing separately doesn't make sense, although this only seems to be the case in america and to a lesser extent in other parts of the west.
i would argue that the separation of church and state has been 'bad' for society (whatever 'bad' means) in that it has disconnected its technological and economic growth from its inherent search for 'meaning' and 'order'.
So that's why /thought/ is not a dead board
What does dead even mean?
