I got into wicca at first but never practiced

Then into reconstructed paganism and had self defining progress

Now I'm into minimalist chaos magick which is detailed in the book post modern magick as well as a grab bag of other paths. I use Norse, Celtic, and Germanic imagery to decorate the walls of my "inner temple" sort to speak.

I've looked in to Micheal Kelley's programs with Draconian magick and decided that will be my primary discipline.

I'm waiting to become well studied before I attempt more complex operations

Also should we have a dedicated occult board?

Look for what path interests you, for beginner I would recommend looking at Wicca which is deconstructed ritual freemasonry combined with British folklore. But like I said Discordism is great, it's funny as fuck and gives you an idea about the larger occult world, and what sort of things can inhabit it.

Read Aleister Crowley's poetry and works on Thelema. You can get a big compilation of all of his writing on amazon for $4.

His other more useful instructional books are excluded but available on amazon as well. Work up to those.

Read mythology if you can't meditate often (i need to really work on this myself) contemplate and be mindful in your day to day actions.

Wait till you have a use for paraphernalia but I would recommend your first purchase be a black handled knife,among practitioners it's called an athame. We would need a very knowledgeable mod who is very experienced in ritual; most occult forums have a lot of people asking about getting rid of goetic daemons and that can be a life threatening situation.

Finding a master to study under is like going out and trying to find a kung fu master, really the best thing you can do is try and get a study buddy. I'm in the same boat I need a partner to keep each other disciplined and on task with our weekly goals.
