Hey, I like to RP a lot, but I'm struggling to find anywhere to meet regular RP partners online anywhere but Omegle. Which is fine and all, but they are all guys that will RP for six lines, then go quiet, then log off. I'd just rather have a long, detailed RP and stay in touch with people rather than get someone off quick and they log off.

So, where do you RP?

I tend to use Yahoo and the like. Easier to keep in touch that way. Rapid back and forth chats are much easier to keep interest in as well. The more detailed are always good one as well.

Also, fully prepared to make myself look like a twit, but where's the chatroom?

I usually fail miserably and strike out with but when I get into one that keeps me interested and on my toes I'm told I do a really good job.

Speaking of RP's, anyone have a preference to using established fictional settings or making up their own? I prefer the latter myself, fun to come up with worlds based around tickling, but wondering how others think.

50-50 honestly, I like doing both if I'm completely honest. I like to use skype mainly but I've used Yahoo as well and could install it again perhaps.

I've never tried an established world but I tend to change things up in my plans to get my partner to follow along or to accomodate them better. It's kind of fun in itself really but more importantly I think I just need more wiggle room.

For those interested, writing.com has an active group of people who update tickling stories and the like on there, sometimes doing group RP's. You could get an account and start looking through there. I'm SF85 on there as well.

Not really tried many established worlds - I find custom worlds are more open and 'free', so to speak.
