So that's a bitch.
No.1271
>>1269Holy crap. That sucks. It looks like the entire feetschan.org domain is down. I doubt you would know, but do you know if this is for good?
I saw you had an active thread on the RPG you're working on, so I hope you didn't lose anything irreplaceable. Still, this is bad. Last was Tickletheater, and now feetschan. =\
No.1273
There was non-stop spam of porn ads and we only had ONE person acting as the janitor to clean up… Without the main people in charge of the site implementing a captcha to prevent bots from making spam threads (and presumably not interested enough to renew the site domain), this was sadly inevitable :/
It's sad, I liked the site.
No.1274
>>1271Nah, some input from forum foers but nothing that hasn't been emailed to me. Still…
>>1273Maybe it'll be back, this happeend before right?
If not, I guess we can always just do fullchan.
No.1275
>>1274even if it does come back, it'll still lead to more unwanted spam. They're like hydra heads; cut one off, two take its place.
Since it's been going on for a long while and no preventive measures were even taken, I doubt the owner cares about the site anymore… or the owner has been away from the computer/internet for reasons out of their control (disconnected/hospitalized/jailed/dead).
Next best thing is to maybe have a replacement on 8chan or wherever…
No.1276
>>1274>If not, I guess we can always just do fullchan. If so, I want to make this board better, but really the only way to do that is by getting more visitors / contributors. I've already shilled this place out in the usual spots, but not sure where else I can.
I'm still working on a sticky master post of all the best tickle sites on the web, paid and free. I'll be sure to NOT include a certain publication that went out of their way to DMCA us. I should add a word filter for them, lol. Make it if you type MTJ it turns into [DMCA TAKEDOWN NOTICE].
No.1277
>>1276I think a lot of it was the idea was feetschan was "still good", so people just used the one. If this is correct;
>>1275it's looking like this is our last true best for an imageboard based community (I'm not going back to halfchan for a number of reasons), they'll come naturally. Sometimes they'll just not bother, when we went from the tickle tuesday forum to feetchan, none of the other namefags seemed to come over. Internet's just weird like that.
No.1284
>>1277the threads on 4chan were just a mess… I wanted to see new images and we had shitposters trying to troll one another.
Feetschan felt a little more organized… until recently when it became obvious it was abandoned by the site creator.
I notice we do get a few named people who popped in on feetschan and even on here with decent threads and minimal dick comments, so I feel we're on the right track.
No.1285
>>1277>I'm not going back to halfchan for a number of reasonsYou don't say. Well I've got a good reason to not go back. Their new CAPTCHA system uses the Google API to associate what you post with your logged in Google account(s). It says so in their Privacy Policy.
I want to make a suicide post on halfchan's /d/ (one post there was about feetschan's demise). But even I'm scared of this dreaded new CAPTCHA lol.
No.1288
>>1285is THAT what that is??
…then again, it makes a degree of sense with all the criminal posts that first showed up on /b/ in recent years.
Not that it matters to me much, I post and lurk more on /co/ and /vg/ anyway.

No.1363
>>1362Oh.
Well I was kind of hoping the whole "community commission" thing would carry over since that seemed to work stupid-well over there and then just completely die once it made the move to imageboards. A shame, since that ended up netting us a lot of gold.
No.1367
>>1285Which is why all of you should be browsing these porn threads in an incognito window. Doesn't track to your Google account.
No.1369
>>1363Personally I didn't bring up the community commission idea on feetschan or here partially because I wanted to allot funds to non-fetish stuff and more so because in hindsight I wasn't satisfied with the commissions, though people besides us getting enjoyment out of them is an upside of sorts. If the concept surfaced again and someone came up with an idea that caught my interest, I may be tempted to chip in, otherwise I think I'd rather just do solo commissions or work with just one other person whose preferences are closely aligned with my own.
No.1371
>>1369Ah really? Well that's a bummer then.
No.1831
I don't suppose there was any sort of archive kept of feetchan's content at all per chance?
No.1834
>>1831Don't think so.
Maybe if we could contact the site owner? Or even skadoosh?
No.2792
Original owner of feetschan here, found this thread while looking up info on what happened to the site.
I got no clue what happened or why the site died as I haven't been in contact with anyone from there for years. Sorry it didn't last, guys. But it was fun for a while.
As for a site archive, all I have is a rip of /feet/ from ages ago. Nothing from /tk/ unfortunately.
No.2948
>>2792You weren't the owner later on?
No.2953
>>2948Nah, weren't you there when he handed it over to the new guy?
I think it was a mod on the site from before who took over.
He was kinda useless, but I think he moderated /feet/, so there's that.
No.2983
>>1834>Or even skadoosh? He already explained he was more of a janitor than a mod; doing little else than constantly deleting all the CP spam.
BTW anyone know where he went? I mean is he aware this place even exists? He was the shit.
No.2984
>>2983Not coming back, Twitter spat, got a little heated when I was discussing the sites downfall and MAY OR MAY NOT in my buzzed stupor blamed him directly for it to the point he swore off any future /tk/ incarnations entirely.

I blatantly lied, he's been lurking as Anon the entire time.
No.3159
>>2953I remember reading the owner's posts somewhere after the creation of the board. I remember him casting people to be janitors on the site, and some other things. I guess I stopped reading his entries later on.
>>3045Why did you pass it on, though? You should definitely make a new foot fetish chan site, since I think there are none. Unless I didn't search deep enough.
No.3187
>>3159Several reasons but burn out, mostly. For the majority of the site's existence I was the only person cleaning up posts, and it's really tiresome to be cleaning up CP/spam/raids/etc. all the time. Things got a little better when I added /ti/ since I think 3 people from there signed up to mod the site, but I never really had the time to step back and relax, because shortly after I added /ti/ the site suffered from two catastrophic software errors. Feetschan was my first time running a website, and I kinda felt that if I couldn't keep a site working I didn't really have any business running one.
The lack of a dedicated feet imageboard is pretty shocking considering the size of the audience and the amount content. Maybe someday in the future I'll remake it or something similar, but that's a pretty far off project right now.

Are you fucking serious… Christ Google are some shady motherfuckers. Not at all seemingly competent but real creeps. I barely log in to my Google account because I've been really wary of their shit for awhile so I don't know how exposed I am or whatever.
