So I was sitting infront of my notepad++ screen after tearing through some code, looking for a new project and thought I think it's about time for me to tear into making a game for the first time and it got me to thinking about a ticklefag game. Don't get your hopes up, I can barely make a brick breaker clone, but nonetheless it got me wondering. What is the ideal tickling game? The closest I've ever gotten was NDT2000's Madlab Tickling V2, but even that was just a bunch of premade animations with some poorly synced audio. Tower of Gargalesis was good for what it was, but it was basically a text-based adventure game. A good one, but still just a poorly made RPG with great writing. I've seen Julie the Tickler, but that's a contextual (puzzle?) flash game that you can beat in about twenty minutes.

Action games don't really lend themselves for a tickling porn game because it's too fast paced. The closest we could get would be some kind of Galgun-like game where the girls get tickled and fall over.

Strategy games wouldn't work either. The pace is slow enough but I can't think of a single situation to work tickling into the core mechanics. The best we could do would be reward success with tickling, and I don't think that's the right way to go about it.

Adventure games? Maybe. Card games? I could see it working. Horror game? Very possible.

My question is; Since tickle porn games normally lend themselves to RPGs due to the narrative focus of the genera, we hardly ever see anyone try to make one outside of it. What would the ideal tickling game be?

Well you could always go the route of one of those platformers with enemy-specific animations when you get attacked or CGs when you lose or trigger certain events. For a bit of a point and click thing you could make different animations for different touches applied to the ticklee's body and different levels of duress. That doesn't have to be a mountain of animating to be interesting though, that Tickle Attayo game on DeviantArt is just rubbing your mouse over the girl's feet but it's great with most of the appeal being context-sensitive dialogue and just seeing her expression change.

Other than that… I dunno, you can probably take a lot of kinds of existing games and rework their concepts to have a fetish element built around them.

Well, it's not like tickling isn't a fast paced action.

Have like the enemies each have a unique "tickle spot" weakness, later in the game you need to attack more than one in combos in order to "crack" them.

Most people throughout school do that; sneak little "attacks" on friends and classmates. Work that angle; you're a creeper trying to get as many girls as he can before he gets knocked out.

Is there an ideal tickle game? Everyone has their own preferences I guess so you're never gonna get it right. You're right that most tickle porn games tend to go for RPG style due to the storytelling aspect and ease of creation but there's a few of those around and they get repetitive.

A point and click adventure game might be cool, some scenes could be finding tickle spots to get info/reactions whatever. Horror game is doable but would seem kinda cheesy with tickling I guess. Some guy made one on TT and the concept just felt odd.

Not sure about what the actual style of the game is but does anybody remember things like Interactive Buddy and My Little Bastard? Something like that where say you were raising/conditioning at tickle slave sounds like it'd be really fun.

Always considered the idea of the strategy game with ticking to be fun, if unfeasible. Different units with tickle weapons having a battle along the lines of the Total War series. Or something closer to Dungeon Keeper since that franchise had a closer atmosphere that could be fun to play with as well.

Other than that, a more realistic choice would be something along the lines of a point and click adventure with art drawn for the project.

I've actually experimented with a few other genre's and approaches to the TK Gaming idea. The problem is that it's a bit hard to to throw in tickling in more active gaming types without it feeling awkward and clunky. (Still considering putting some more time on the TK Megaman inspired project I proto-typed…. Fuck the Castlevania one though XD)

The only way I see to really make a good tickleporn game would be to make a good game first, and then set it in a tickling-based world, and reward gameplay with tickling scenes.

Because I think the whole reason we even want a tickling game in the first place is to put context to the scenes, I don't think any of us want to *actually* have a game where we tickle people. Unless I'm super wrong

Well you're right, but I'm taking production value into consideration. We're looking at development constraints that would completely kill any kind of good graphics. Take a look at NDT2000's Madlab Tickle V2. That took him 3 years(?) of work in his spare time to complete, and even that's just 10 sets of 8 second loops.

Well you say "good graphics" but do you already have some kind of concept in mind? Are you wanting to use 3D models? You don't exactly need things to look gorgeous depending on what you're going for.

In game design there's two kinds of concept when it comes to visuals. Graphics, and aesthetic. Minecraft has terrible graphics, but it has a great aesthetic. Gears of War has great graphics, but a terrible aesthetic.

Lets say for shits and giggles we're making a game like >>9538 reccomended. A little interactive diddy where you can customize the look of your tickle slave, change the poses, and then the animation is triggered by contextualized zones on different 'spots' on the model. (3D for this example) Kind of like a bigger tickle attayo game. It would take me months to code a game like that if I knew what I was doing, and I'd have to commission an artist for everything if I wanted it to look good. Therefor unless we were to get an ungodly amount of money from the community in a crowdfunding-type project, it would never happen.

To answer your direct question though, my favorite type of game is grand strategy/RTS.

Ha, okay now THAT I can't think of much way to add a fetish twist but I'll try.

-mod Age of Mythology to insert some sort of big girl character like a Titan to take down and when you do have attacking her defeated state (something like brought to ground in underwear) make her flail around and laugh, her limbs sending units flying. Sounds amusing to look at at least.

-workers units (or just cheap human units) get special tickle attacked (nice twist really, not being able to kill them could extend the game in some neat way or if it doesn't kill them it puts them in a state of disuse which is arguably worse.

-Tickling rather than kiling generates a special resource
