I just smoked a pipe with tobacco for the first time today. I had a lot of trouble lighting it and I only got a two or three mouthfuls of smoke. My eyes feels really dry and I feel tired/unalert. Is this normal for the first time or is this normal with pipe smoking?Thank you in advance.

Pro-tip: once you have the disgusting dry powder in the end of a bag that tastes bad and burns unevenly, add some water to freshen it up a bit. Don't add too much though, while the tobacco will smell great and taste nice, water does not burn very well. Learned this the hard way. This also happened back when I used to add hops to my tobacco, straight from trees. Once it made my tobacco uninhabitable.

I've been smoking for 16 years now. In 2002, JTI took over R.J. Reynolds' tobacco opeations in my country and I've been smoking some s**tty cigs from then. As a tobacco lover I've been craving for a good old Camel cig.
Three months ago a relative of mine came from U.S. and brought a pack of Camel Turkish Royal. After the first puff I knew, that was it.
So here's the question, do they sell Turkish Royals in duty free shops in US? If yes, for how much?

Why do people hate on fruit flavored dips?
I just grabbed a tin of Skoal peach and it is awesome! The apple is great too, but I just dont get why people hate on them. I get that it isnt the manlyist dip out there but come on it is good.
Canadian Smoking
Are there any other Canadians on the board? What's your opinion on smoking here? I find it a lot harder than when visiting other countries, or going down to the states. We have ridiculous taxes on tobacco here, and smoke shops are pretty damn scarce where I'm from.Regarding cigars, all I can usually find are convenience store trash, primetimes, captain blacks, pom poms, jenuwines, etc.

So I've switched from Old Glory to good Deustchland for several years. I didn't have the foresight to bring many of my usual cigarettes, and I'm having a hard time finding anything I like here. I started smoking with the unfiltered Lucky Strikes, but the black Natual American Spirits became may favorite. End result is that now I have a hard time finding anything here that doesn't taste weak.I know nothing about the legality of shipping anything over, so I'd like info on that or maybe just a few recommendations for brands I could get here. Either cigarettes or loose tobacco I could hand-roll.
i want cigars in aus, but with the taxes they charge, its just far too much, i dont want to be paying $20 for a single cigar.

Now Cuban cigars aren't THAT special anymore and you can still get them rather easily via Canada but still more variety is always a good thing and who knows maybe someday soon the embargo could be lifted entirely.

1. La Gloria Serie R - the best moderately priced full body you can buy in the states.
2. Spectre - newish on the market, and tastes like no other cigar out there. It smells like BBQ chips too for some reason.
3.CAO Italia - I like peppery cigars and this one is like smoking a sausage (no homo). The smaller sizes of these are better than the large.
Why is this Cigar Aficionado's #2 cigar of the year? Just had it tonight and it was nothing special, just a standard leathery, creamy, and cedary cigar. Anybody who's smoked it willing to weigh in?
What do you think would happen if the embargo was ended this year? Would we truly see better cigars available in the US or has the industry progressed much more outside of Cuba?

for example, my favorite place to smoke is when im in the outdoors (especially hiking or hunting)I like to take a cigar break at places with nice views and when the trail is mellow I'll puff on one while I walk. Course its really important to be careful with hot embers and ash when its dry out.
