Beat me to making this board.

To start the general post your top 3 favorite cigars.

1. La Gloria Serie R - the best moderately priced full body you can buy in the states.

2. Spectre - newish on the market, and tastes like no other cigar out there. It smells like BBQ chips too for some reason.

3.CAO Italia - I like peppery cigars and this one is like smoking a sausage (no homo). The smaller sizes of these are better than the large.

1. Flor de Las Antillas Robusto by My Father- very nice sweet and creamy flavor with a bit of spice. The box press adds a certain ergonomic factor to it.

2. Davidoff Nicaraguan Robusto- Very quality cigar with flavors of wood and leather, some pepper.

3. Zino Platinum Chubby- A very nice perfecto cigar that is a bit on the mild side but a nice smoke nevertheless

Glad to see someone else is interested in a tobacco board

Gerkha Crest, my top. Bought a bunch last year, taste great. Not too light, but something even a newcomer like me can enjoy.

San Lotano Connecticut. I know this is one of their lighter ones, but it was the first to put me on my ass. It's like buttery ceder.

Man o'war Virture. Again, got some of these a while ago and loved it. It's hard to say this with a small humidor, but I'll keep these well stocked.

Pic of my larger humidor. Still not too big, but I've got a smaller one in a drawer.

Can anybody give me a recommendation for a nice full-bodied chocolatey creamy cigar?

Hey guys

Just started to like cigars.

found out that I like mild cigars that have a strong chocolate flavor, but I don't like coffee.

Is there any brand that you would recommend me.

Also I don't smoke cigarettes so I don't really want one that is to intensive for my sensitive taste buds

The different shades of chocolate(dark, milk) are common terms for describing the appearance of cigars. You'll have better luck looking up reviews on the internet if you use "cocoa".

I disagree. Some cigars have chocolatey tastes or smells to them but it's not their primary flavor.

I guess I should have been more clear that the term milk or dark chocolate are used for the visual aspects of the cigar and not related to flavor. That's the point I was trying to make.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Anyone here part of one of those "cigars of the month" subscriptions I see often on cigar stores on the internet?

Is it a good way for a beginner to expand his taste palate by having 3-4 cigars he would have never had tried otherwise shipped to him? There are the sampler packs as well but it seems to be more of a gamble.

In the end I have to buy them in bulk in order not to pay exorbitant prices so I'm wondering if there's a smart way to do it.

What I recommend is pick up cigar magazines and look at the different cigars and their flavor profile. Decide what you'd think you'd enjoy then sample those. Branch out from there.
