So, Watamote chapter 76 is out, and I'm rather surprised how the authors managed to stretch out this Kyoto arc. Not that I'm complaining, a long arc is very welcome in Watamote but I hope it culminates in some great resolve and is an important part in developing Tomoko's character.
This chapter was cute, and as happens with most Watamote chapters, immensely relatable. I'm referring to how Tomoko envisions her friends' food complaints very personally and as a criticism/blame at her own incompetence, rather than a comment on the restaurants they visit.
Speaking of which, I'm liking Yoshida and Tamura more and more. I wonder if Tanigawa Nico has something more in store for them, like appearing in post-Kyoto chapters. When I first saw them I thought they were gonna leave space for a lot of personal characterisation, but it's becoming more and more apparent they're sticking around for comic relief and to serve as foil to Tomoko, though this may be the authors' way of leveling us with these new characters.
The way Komi is neglected in this arc so far is also a bit concerning. So many questions I have about this arc, jeez.

They might continue this and this will actually becomes Tomokos group of friends. If you notice how she is around them, she seems more talkative and involved then earlier chapters with other people. This might be actual progression into something interesting and fresh.
