i think the difference is like a Hikkikomori could spend his entire life in their room, but can still study and working if they want, but a NEET dont seems like have interest in studying/working, just spend their time in hobbies like animu, games, etc , and also, i think the neet people cand hang out with people irl , it's just that they dont study or work
