Hello, and welcome to /tradfem/- Traditional Femininity. The purpose of this board is to cater to those partaking in a traditional lifestyle or making an attempt to do so in modern times.

Please do not spam.

Please keep foul language to a minimum.

Please keep in mind that this is a SFW board.

Please do not harass others.

Please do not incite inter-board drama between /tradfem/ and other boards.

If you have any ideas on how this board can be improved, including this sticky, feel free to mention it in this thread.

I hope this place can become a comfy, thriving community like it once was in due time.

Reposting advice seems redundant but I couldn't resist giving a bump to the board.

To get it running you will want to post some generals up (Put some care into the OP and images though because it rarely gets updated). Some of the ones off the top of my head that I can remember were:

home remedies/cleaning tips

quotes (old school types, taken from etiquette books and such)

crafts thread (embroidery, sowing, knitting, etc)

fashion thread (usually this was corsetting)

cooking thread (comfy home recipes tier)

relationship thread (about courting and whatnot, this doesn't have to be a general as half the catalog was usually guys asking)

a general introduction thread stickied with a set of questions so we can introduce each other again

a general discussion thread (it was called a weekly tea party thread or so)

one of my own suggestions will be a folklore/cultural traditions thread and an advice thread

as well as having a few image dump threads of traditional women in native costume (photos), a fine art thread, inspiration thread etc.

You don't have to make all of these threads of course, I will make some too so that way its not just you bumping. But this was more to give you an idea of what the board was generally like.

One of the old rules that I liked was to be considerate about swearing. A bit old fashioned for a *chan sure, but then again that's the point of this board correct?

What are the rules you are currently considering?

Please look into customizing the CSS at some point too

The rules for now are just, stay on-topic, SFW, and global rules.

What are some other rules I should add?

Making those banners were too fun though.

Alright, can I request IDs be disabled or do you think its a bad idea? If anyone disagrees because they are worried it will invite trolling or mod censorship then I don't mind if its up.

I just say for now in the initial stages of the board because its embarrassing to have my ID bumped so much when I'm making threads or dumping images in the art thread.

 No.653

>>645

Ah and sorry for double posting, but the multicultural traditional thread is already stirring up a lot of drama on both /tradfem/ and other boards.

We want to avoid encouraging /meta/ that we are all /beauty/ shills so we should act on this before it festers into a raid or something we don't want.

I propose we still allow the thread up, but to delete the images with abbos (unless they are in actual dress, because fur, beads, and body paint is disagreeable) and muslim pictures.

I made a strawpoll to gauge what kind of cultures are acceptable to /tradfem/ for the few of us that lurk here.

https://strawpoll.me/4598298

Asians and Hispanics should be acceptable though, because the latter has strong traditional values prioritizing the family and Hispanics as well with their strongly established Catholic societies.

From here, we can clearly establish from the get go what we consider classy enough to post here so we have a basis to stand against trolls just telling us to post only European women.

Best of luck.

Good luck BO. You are doing gods work.

 No.658

>>645

I suppose I can disable ids for now, but I would like to re-implement them in the near future if this board starts to take off.

>>653

would you like to be a volunteer?

 No.662

>>658

Thanks so much for the board IDs. I agree that its really only a good idea in the beginning when the board is still taking off.

Sure, but I'm unsure how to become one? Here's my email. I won't delete anything besides obvious spam until we establish rules.

 No.738

Why is this incarnation of /tradfem/ so obsessed with multicultralism and full of images from tumblr? I liked the old version better, this board smells fishy to me under the new management. I have a hard time believing anyone genuinely interested in traditionalism would use tumblr for any reason, let alone have a huge stash of pics saved from there.

 No.742

>>738

Except I haven't been using tumblr at all for the images? (Hotpocket now behind like 1/2 the threads/posts) I've just been looking up stuff from art history and going from there on actual art sites. Not google/tumblr/whatever else your thinking of. Actual art history websites.

I don't think we are necessarily obsessed with multicultural, as in we would force it. I understand some of us don't like it and others do.

Its a gray area and between me and the BO we aren't sure how to address it.

So we welcome your feedback. Would you propose we ban it? Keep it separate? Etc.

The goal is to just have comfy discussion of either tradfem or tradmen (inevitable on the board).

 No.743

>>738

Oh and forgot to add, if you want to volunteer too and help out the board I'm sure it's available.

It doesn't have to be fishy tinfoil tier. Lets keep it transparent~ (Already victorian/tradfem/ has been overuled before it took off)

 No.752

>>653

So...just to be clear, are non-whites and pictures of non-whites welcome here (assuming that they're decently clothed, etc)? Or is this more like /pol/ for ladies?

 No.758

>>752

Yes, its allowed for now.

To be clear we are waiting that out, so it may not be permanently allowed if it only invites board infighting.

Can this board change to traditional family so boys can post too?

 No.878

Maybe the BO, myself, or another volunteer will get around to updating the sticky. Personally iive just been observing to see how the board culture takes off before tying anything down.

Having said that thanks for your suggestion. I really am fond of how tradmen and family topics have stemmed out of the boards topics. It's a nice flow and a lot better then the beginning image dumps of hawt tradfem pictures (not that there iis anything wrong with inspiration, but it felt like forced waifus). The board has become more about helping the traditional family! Very amazing!

We shouldn't change the board name, or our focus on tradwomen, but we will always welcome tradmen, and ffamily topics.

Having said that, I feel hesitant to post because I made a lot of early mistakes. So I've just been observing the discourse so I won't mess up in the future.

Really glad the board community is growing and not dying off.

 No.924

Is breastfeeding considered SFW or NSFW?

 No.930

>>924

Images of breastfeeding are definitely nsfw

 No.935

I noticed that some banners (at least one) say /trafem/ instead of /tradfem/. I guess that should be changed.

>>930

Alright.

 No.963

I'm a man, and have to say... I love this board.

Today, most women are trying to find their place, when God gave us our place. Doing what we are made for is the best way to be happy and fulfilled in life.

It's refreshing to see that a few women, even a remnant, recognize this fact.

 No.965

>>963

It really is a shame that the idea of "knowing your place" carries such a negative stigma when, upon only brief reflection, the idea is such a beautiful one whether you're a man or a woman.

Hi OP / BO,

>I hope this place can become a comfy, thriving community like it once was in due time.

>once was

Please can you - or anyone else really - tell me the story of what happened to the other - old - board?

I summer through the thread, but didn't see anything really explaining much or any details.

Also, I'm a bit natsoc, but not so it takes over my life or anything, so my question ,I suppose is is that sort of think accepted here or is it discouraged?

I just want to help out and follow the culture and help you to have a very successful board

File: 1441763181845.jpg (64.16 KB, 600x900, 2:3, 1434675830727.jpg)

Can we get an alliance going on via contacts or tumblr?

Tumblr's got a blossoming community of conservative and alternative views to the sjw horde, of which I can see it being useful for us to start networking through more means then /tradfem/ or the chans.

However averse to visibility /pol/ (and /tradfem/ might be an offshoot of such?) may be, if we do not begin to support our views in the public nothing will set the motion of change we all seek.

Should we start a thread for social networking of traditional-minded, nationalistic, anti-sjw women to follow?

 No.1027

>>1026

That sounds good. I would prefer if this place moved away from the current "/pol/ for girls" identity that it currently has.

>>968

Back in May some people from /beauty/ somehow got hold of the board, /tradfem/, /beauty/, /late/ and a few other boards ended up getting nuked. You can read more about it here >>>/meta/73292
