I followed the chat last night. HW himself leans toward Lynxchan, but if he felt really confident about it, he wouldn't do the poll. Basically, Lynxchan shows signs of stability and scalability, but there is no way to migrate over, there are fewer features, and it remains a big unknown for a site of this size.
IMHO, people are a little tired of all the backend stuff and failed migrations. If Lynx were a botch, 8ch place would bleed a lot of users.
Many of the best threads on here have been archived for a worst case scenario.
