Very few traps should go for short hair. Long hair is not only feminine in and of itself, but it covers angles and head shapes that are not always flattering, even on biological females.

With long, styled hair and some makeup, this trap would look way more attractive.

Unfortunately that seems to be a trap a lot of trans tend to fall in.

In fairness it can be hard to distinguish when that's actually the case, Are they depressed(initially) because they're trans or Are they trans because they're depressed.

Some people it works out, others it can make everything even worse.

I'm not sure how that is a bad thing. It's a sign that some of the time, at least part of the desire to transition comes from socialization, and it doesn't happen in a complete vacuum based on brain development or something like that.
