Thats my problem. I dont have the money nor the insurance to cover getting perscription treatments. Would I be able to use an over the counter estrogen, and just take it slow so that I don't shock my body?

This part of the guide has always baffled me.

I would suggest Saw Palmetto over anything. I didn't think it would work. I took that for about 2 months and noticed some HUGE changes. I'm normally a guy that will fuck anything, anytime. I have a tendency to masturbate 2-3 times a day and still be horny enough to fuck at the end of the day. After about two weeks on the saw palmetto, I had ZERO sex drive. After about four weeks, I was starting to have trouble getting an erection. I'm a pretty aggressive guy, but with the saw palmetto I had next to zilch aggressive thoughts. I also noticed my body hair would grow out slower. When I was nearing the end of the second month, I had to stop it because I was getting some extremely feminine thought patterns and it seriously scared me. Now that's just how I reacted to it. Your own experience may vary. But I would definitely suggest you try that.

A few things. 1 you can't get real estrogen OTC. You can get "natural estrogen" vitamins and such. But they will NOT cause any changes. 2 DIY hrt can be more expensive than seeing a doctor. I have a therapist tell me I had to present as female for a year before she'd prescribe hormones. I laughed in her face and told her I'm not a CD (no disrespect to them) and I'll be damned if I have to live as one for a year before she actually helps me. So I ordered everything myself. Spend just under $400 on roughly a year supply of everything. BUT!! Mind you this was barring my therapists recommendation. I still see my primary doctor every month or so to get my hormone levels checked and whatnot. I personally don't trust any of the "shortcuts" people claim. Oh. Where you can get them yourself. All day chemist. You can order your estrogen and t blocker there. And they're one of the cheaper sites I've found. Mind you. I ordered mine from there. I'm almost 6 months on hrt, pass in public 24/7 and even have almost c cups already. So I can attest that they're the genuine thing too lol.

As for any of the other inquiries here. Hrt does NOT make you shrink. What it MOST LIKELY will do, is lower your sex drive. If you allow yourself to go long enough without getting erect, the skin will begin tightening. THAT will cause it to shrink. Also. If you want to maintain the ability to get erections, you have to do just that. Get regular erections. The only real difference is that gettiing one will stary to require physical stimulation. Sights and sounds won't do it anymore. At 6 months, as far as everything else has come, my size hasn't decreased at all. I don't produce semen anymore. Just a few drops of a clear substance (my testes have also gone from wallnuts to blueberries xD). As for the nipples. Yes. They WILL get more sensitive. Mine are already very sensitive. Though. My breasts also haven't STOPPED growing (I've been fortunate there. It didn't take me 3-4 months to see breast development. I started seeing it at only 3 weeks. It's different for EVERYONE and based off of your genetics. Chances are, if you come from well endowed women, you'll be well endowed too :)).

Really interesting info on hormone changing but my point is if ppl use hormones to change surely they just get like moody gen girls which men who fancy transexual women dont want, we want tgirls with the sexual desires, strength, prowess and stamina of men but the beauty of a female. I know ppl change for themselves but full change and ur mostly undesirable to most ts lovers! Also most full change ts's admit they regret losing their dicks! That's an interesting POV too. Given I have no problem finding people who would love to either be with me or just fuck me, I don't really see that being a problem for me. As for sexual prowess etc etc. I said sex drive diminishes. I mean randomly getting horny. But if I'm genuinely interested in someone, and they start making moves, I'm liable to rip their clothes off. I'm also openly a domme. So obviously. Sex doesn't just go away. I'm a guy who is in a relationship with a transgirl.

We've lived with each other for nearly a year now. But we have been unable figure out how she can get HRT. Neither of us have health insurance. I personally haven't been to a doctor in years.

I'm 20 and she is as well. We've looked for doctors but have never gotten the chance to visit a doctors office since we rely on family for transportation.

What should we be looking into. I really want her to be able to get HRT. She always frets about passing.

HRT will require:

Several sessions at a therapist. Usually six before they will write a recommendation, but if she has been living as trans for some time they can make an exception.

Sessions are about $100 a pop if you pay cash.

Then a visit to an endocrynologist for blood work and exam. Probably $150 for the doctor appointment, and $150 for the blood tests. Possibly negotiable if you are paying cash.

Hormones themselves are about $50 a month cash. They cost less than aspirin.

So all told, the expense for HRT is probably around $1000 to get started, and $50 a month for life.

If this is outside your budget, you will either have to get insurance, or go black market.

Black market is dangerous. Maybe you get the pills, maybe you get rat poison and sugar.

If you need insurance, look for large corporate jobs. Their insurance plans will cover at least therapy and hormones.

Paypal, Google, etc. have call centers, and they pay 100% of transition related costs (therapy, surgery, the works). The more "SJW" a company is, the more likely they cover everything, and the more likely a "T" under gender gets you a diversity hire in HR. However, that requires selling your soul to the SJW crowd. Start practicing your privilege checking :(

Do some google fu, find what is in your area for employment.

Or you could join the military and get health care for life. Great benefits, great training, first year sucks though. They still find reasons to disqualify trans applicants, but I don't think they discriminate against trans spouses anymore.

Age definitely counts, but there is no one particular cut-off point that I know of. For a number of reasons, you would want to begin your transition fairly early. OTOH, it's one of the biggest life decisions you could possibly make, and you really need to give it a lot of thought and test the waters.

herbs like Saw Palmetto give VERY insignificant changes. I don't recommend you relay on herbs for your transition. -maybe as a supplement WITH HRT drugs but not as your only source- you will have disappoint.

I'm the dude that originally recommended Saw Palmetto. As I said, someone might get different results than I got. I'm not quite trans, so HRT has always been out of the question. I've seen many therapist, ranging from your regular LCSW to LPC all the way to Psy.D., and all of them have agreed that I should not pursue HRT, let alone SRS. I'm currently 23 and getting manlier as I age. I would love to have an Orchiectomy for several different reasons, but have found no excuse to have them removed. A T blocker for me would be nice if I can't have those stupid things taken out, but Spiro is also out of the question. After I did some research, I found that Saw Palmetto can potentially prevent T from breaking down into DHT. I decided I bite the bullet and started taking it. I figured I'd only see a small change if any, but I was wrong. My fucking libido was nonexistent. It's been a good month and a half since I took it last, and I'm seriously starting to miss how unmanly it made me feel.
