With Obsidian fan boys creating 3 threads so far with the same content, here's one more with the counter-argument
Obsidian DID cave the moment it reached out to the $500 backer, who obviously was a big enough fan to cut them some slack and remove his joke voluntarily. But that is still censorship and that still goes against what the majority wanted, which was to leave the joke alone.
If we allow this to stand, then it's going to be a free season for SJWs. It's time to put up or shut up. Without a boycott, without showing an example of these guys, devs will cave in day-in day-out. Here's why (Copy pasting):
It's easiest to understand like this for anti-boycott shills:
No boycott scenario:
a) Stand your ground: mildly bad PR from SJWs, but largely countered by gamers applauding your decision
b) Cave into SJW demands: No repercussions.
Boycott scenario:
a) Stand your ground: mildly bad PR from SJWs, but largely countered by gamers applauding your decision
a) Cave into SJW: hugely bad PR from dedicated gamers, who obviously know other gamers and can spread the world, funding such as kickstarter pulled, long-term boycott established costing 10,000s-100,000s of sales over multiple titles which can easily tip you over into bankruptcy.
Yeah I can see why PR shills are fucking up our boards with their scorpion shilling jumping the gun for boycotts while also demanding we don't boycott at all.
Boycotts are fine, use them only when the company has proven to behave in an anti-consumer manner. Obsidian has passed these conditions.
Boycotts don't end when you don't buy their game, it also continues on with generating bad PR infographs like in OP and spreading the word about their bad behavior to potential customers in such a manner that they're also obliged to spread the word to their friends.
That's why they teach you the customer is always right. One bad experience from one customer can potentially lose you a hundred sales.

Don't let rigged strawpolls decide for you. Use your head. You don't have to organize the boycott under the hashtag. There's absolutely no excuse not to, if you're so much of an Obsidian fan that this makes you butt hurt, you have three other threads you can voice your opinion on.
