This is a board for travelers.

Meet up with other people, get sketchy doing couch surfing, go on adventures together, or just share tips and stories.

All languages allowed, but this is a primarily English-speaking board.

Be friendly.
No gore. Nudity allowed.

Is it still possible to travel by boat (safely) across major oceans? Like on tankers and whatnot? Is it legal?

 No.39

It's actually more expensive than a normal plane flight….

 No.45

It's called circumnavigation, and people do it all the time. Is it legal? Of course it's legal.

What are the pros and cons of moving to Miami, and what professions are in-demand there? Note that I am not American, and I already speak Spanish, so that won't be a problem.

Have you taken the brown pill yet, mateys?

it's a tough pill to swallow! The brown pill was founded in 1999 by Sir Reginald Brownpill, who presents and narrates the attached video.

Forget red and blue pills, brown pills are the way of the future.

Video related. Please leave your questions, comments, and concerns below about this radical new paradigm of thinking!

Swallow the brown pill today! Red pills are for fedora fucking wearing faggots, blue pills are for the ignorant masses. Ignore the other le epin /pol/ maymays, this one is the readl deal.sdfsdafsdfadfs

you just gotta know what to look for

a lot of brewers just pump out super hoppy IPAs to appeal to hipsters, but there are tons of really, really good beers to be found

As for affordability, well, you don't get good beer for cheap. You can get decent beer for cheap, but you gotta pay extra for good stuff.

What do you mean by "Western"? Do you want to leave Europe?

If you have good grades, it should be easy for you to get into a free uni in Germany or France. It's also EU, so you can work and be paid (more or less) what the native students are getting, too.

Also, what do you mean by studying "tourism"? Do you mean hospitality management or something like that?

Avoid the US, Australia, and maybe even Canada if you are trying to study for cheap. Working as a foreign student is almost impossible in the US.

Western like UK. Do I have to know german or french to study in germany or france? I also heard that the cost of living is expensive even if the uni is free. Tourism as in hospitality management or something like that.

The UK has a rising tuition rate and it only gets worse because you are from Romania and your currency is massive merde and worth nothing compared to the British Pound.

>Do I have to know german or french to study in germany or france?

Generally, yes. In Germany, lots of courses are in English if you are doing your masters, though.

Greyhound is your friend, so are hostels.

Do you have a friend who might want to travel, too? It's good to have a travel buddy. Go to the West coast (specifically Cali) over the East coast for overall excitement.

Do you have the money to travel? Are you a student? Fill us in and we can try to help.

I learned 2 things in Chenonceau, France.

>don't climb on the lion statues. The French police get very upset

and even more frightening
>don't get too near the black swan's nesting area. They will chase you and bite you in the butt for over 50 yards

I am actually going to 'homeless' and just travel around by hitchhiking. Any good things to remember? I'm reading lots of guides on this, and I have lots of guide books downloaded for me to use. For food, I will be dumpster diving, trying to get someone to buy food for me, or catching food inna woods. Might even create my own board and log my adventures…
If you want to join me, feel free. I could always use a friend. (Although, we can not have the group of people higher then two. Will be unable to hitchhike.)

Yep. I mean I am not going to sit around in a city all day. I mostly want to do this for traveling and building some wilderness skills in case of a happening.

> mostly want to do this for traveling and building some wilderness skills

Then I recommend sticking to national and state parks in the Pacific Northwest.

Have waterproof clothes that dry quickly, a good knife, flint, a fishing pole, a small tent, and enough tarp. Have a small emergency radio or satellite walkie-talkie that can alert authorities with GPS. Everything you need (except the tent and fishing pole) should be able to fit into a school-type backpack.

BE SURE THAT THE PARK RANGERS KNOW YOU ARE THERE

Building my wilderness skills is part of my plant. Alongside going incognito, and just getting some freedom. I doing this as a more religious thing. (Not actually religious, just /fringe/.)

 No.16

>im spiritual, not religious!1111!!!

just kidding.

If you want to go incognito, just buy an iphone and a corolla :D

Looking like an adventurer is a surefire way to NOT look incognito in a city (at least in the US)
