Yeah, that might be a good idea. Better to play it safe. Also, is there any reason to worry that your server/computer might go down? Because that doesn't seem like it'd be a concern unless you have reason to believe it might happen.

Which is why I want to know why he still sides with Jane. He obviously cares a lot about Clementine, so why wouldn't he go with who's best for her?

Everyone, not just Jane, commits the idiotic crime of treating Clem like she's a super capable adult. What's even more idiotic is that they're right: Clem is that capable. She slaughters every zombie she takes on. She should be killed in all those scenarios but she isn't.

An unarmed 11 year old versus a walker, yeah she'd be killed. But if you don't fuck it up, with a weapon you'll be fine. Walkers a slow and stupid and relatively easy to kill as long as you go for the head.

Rewatch that scene. Jane instructs Clem to take on a much bigger zombie head on. Clem is so short she can barely get at his head. This is before Jane teaches her the handy trick of kicking their knees to knock them down.

Like I said, Jane isn't the only one who has unrealistic expectations of an eleven-year old girl that turn out to be correct because this game takes place in a bizarro universe. Luke bringing Clem to clear a bridge (which she does by herself), Kenny asking to have her back against armed guards in the truck, everyone sending her on a covert mission in a hostile compound with no map or a weapon to defend herself, etc. She's omnipotent: she can do anything the plot requires her to do.

There is no upside to leaving Clem with her. She's forced to watch an old friend get murdered and hang out with the murderer who then admits to having planned the whole thing. She becomes jaded, cold and noticeably less happy.

It'd be stupid if her personality in S3 changed for a whole group of players based on a single, random decision made in the previous season, so you don't have to worry about her becoming a cold heartless Darwinist next season.

In the Kenny endings she can be seen laughing and playing, she's obviously very happy. In the Jane endings the happiest she ever seems is a slight smile when Jane informs her that there are still some supplies left, making their trip back to the compromised fort not a complete waste, then she goes on to threaten other survivors at gunpoint and tell them to fuck off.

Pretty much. Clementine became so boring this season because she no longer seemed like a real human being with weaknesses or flaws. No matter how improbable the situation, she solves it, with adult-like intelligence or incredible brute strength and combat prowess. No matter how badly she treats the other characters, they will still love her and be on her side, depriving the game of any interesting interpersonal mechanics.

>I don't think so. If a large majority of players get a cold heartless Darwinist Clem next season, that's the Clem they deserve for making her that way.

I see where you guys are coming from, but you need to realize that what we got is much better than the alternative. A realistic game with an 11 year old girl as the protag would be boring as shit. Clem would either do nothing of import and have no input whatsoever or she would do stupid shit that causes trouble for the group.

A lot of people were concerned with how TTG would pull off making a game with a little girl as the protag and rightfully so, it was a risky move. It's unfortunate the only thing they could think of was making Clem a child sized adult.

No, I completely disagree. The problem isn't that Clem is more capable than your typical eleven year old, it's that she's an omnipotent Mary Sue. If Lee had the same degree of plot armor as she did in S2, he would've been a significantly less interesting character.

Another problem I haven't mentioned is that Clem is barley fleshed out as a character from the first episode of S2. We rarely get to explore her wants, her needs, her goals, and her guilt. It's all pushed aside for time so another ball-numbing dramatic set piece that she and the player will have barely have anytime to contemplate can take place.

More likely than not they'd just keep the anon coming back to them day in and day out in order to collect his shekels and prescribe him pills that would sap any semblance of personality he has.

I for one understand why the anon is so sensitive. He's a janefag in a community of kennyfags. He's had to listen to us list all the reasons why Jane is not the best choice for Clem time and time again.

I really liked Jules Verne's books when I was a kid, and I think Clem would also like adventure books like that. It would also provide a form of escapism from the bleak world of the ZA.

A tulpa is believed to be an autonomous consciousness, existing within their creator’s mind, often with a form of their creator's initial choice and design.

If you still don't understand it, it's basically creating an imaginary friend that you interact with while you sleep. They are an autonomous consciousness existing within their creator's mind that you design.
You could create a Clementine tulpa and be her surrogate father or lover in your dreams.

 No.11466

>>11463
Having a tulpa just because of a fictional character is the highest form of autism imo.
They're meant for spiritual people who are in synch with themselves and their energy trough dedicated and continuous meditation. It takes years to achieve the skill to create a tulpa.
Now, not being able to be content or function properly without dissociating yourself from fiction to the point you need to create an "imaginary friend" and call it tulpa so you can be somewhat pleased with yourself is not only pathetic as fuck, but also a sign of schizophrenia.

Before creating a tulpa of your waifu, go get yourself checked.

If the anon is as serious about his love from Clementine as he seems than a tulpa is the perfect solution.

Tibetans monks created tulpas for spiritual guidance. That's what they're meant for.

And computers used to be used solely for spreadsheets. Things often end up being used for things other than what they were meant for. Saying "autism" over and over against isn't making your argument any stronger here. I don't know why you have such an issue with tulpas but you need to get over yourself.

Case in point, sex exists for the purpose of reproduction, but people do it for pleasure all the time. You don't have to approve, but just because something is used for a purpose different than originally intended doesn't make it bad or "autistic".
