There's tons of zombie movies though, I can always download others. I haven't watched any of the older ones like the Evil Dead or the original Dawn of the Dead.
No.12926
>>12925Nice! The more the merrier.
So, there was some discussion about hub areas last thread, and I wanted to know, what is everybody's favorite hub area and why?
My vote goes to the stopped train in S1. It served as good downtime, while at the same time pressuring you a bit because of Duck's bite. The train puzzle was pretty easy, but it felt believably easy (it can't be THAT hard to start up a train, right?). There were also the optional animal crackers that a lot of people missed that I think was a cool detail.
If I recall correctly, Chuck also plays his guitar for the group. What a cool dude.

Also I am a fucking moron and I had so much trouble with that stupid train puzzle because I didn't think to go get the pencil. And then I didn't think to tell Kenny to go have a drink.
No.12930
>>12926Favorite hub? Hard to say. I think ether the farm, the episode 3 motor inn hub, or the train before it takes off. The abandoned camp with Sam is also one of my favorite parts of season 2.
No.12931
>>12929I had a feeling that Clementine's leaf rubbing from earlier in the episode was supposed to act as a hint for what you had to do in that puzzle. Although having played LA Norie, I was kinda disappointed that Lee does it himself rather than the game making you do it.
No.12932

No.12933
>>12931If you talk to her about it, Lee will ask her if she has any pencils or anything. Not sure what exactly is said but I think it's hinted that searching the RV might be a good idea.
No.12934

No.12935

What kind of skirt would season 2 Clem wear? Would a skirt even be appropriate for a girl her age to wear in the apocalypse?
No.12948
>>12947>in the apocalypseCertainly not. It would be pretty hypocritical to have short hair so walkers can't grab it, and then wear a frilly skirt that can get caught on things.
I'm not familiar with different types of skirts, anyways. S1 clem's dress was pretty cute though.

http://visambros.tumblr.com/post/109520821847/jane-vs-kennyThis basically summarizes all my thoughts on how the the writing in S2 treated Kenny and Jane.
No.13020
>>13019>I think there should’ve been an option to shoot Jane after you find out what she did (just so you have a chance to kill both characters twice)So fucking much this. I didn't end my asshole Clem playthrough the way I wanted to because there is no option shoot Jane after the fight, even though there are two chances to kill Kenny.
>she was willing to let an eleven year old have blood on her hands and only spoke up when she knew Clem wouldn’t make a decision one way or anotherThat's funny, she does the same thing if you make no choice when it's time to rob Arvo. It kind of conflicts with her character if you think about it. She's a competent Darwinist survivalist, but she can't think for herself? She has to rely on an 11 year old girl to make decisions for her?
Now as much as I agree with that post, I still think the endings are biased against Kenny, because even though Kenny's endings are the good ones, the game strongly encourages you to kill him which prevents you from getting the good endings. Because of this, I
have to believe Telltale
wanted people to avoid getting the good endings. And I also believe Telltale had ulterior motives for doing this as well.

As for being biased against Kenny, I think so too. You have two opportunities to shoot him, and another to leave him, whereas you have no such choices to leave Jane.

>>13025By "here", you mean halfchan? I actually bought S2 when they were on Episode 3 or so, and then I hung around on /ttgg/ for the last two episodes. I honestly had no idea before finding /ttgg/ that they made TWD S2, even though I liked S1 so much.

>>13027>I'm not entirely convinced that would really fit Clem's character (just like how I don't think Clem would shoot Kenny after Jane dies)I agree but I don't think it matters. The fact that Telltale thought Clem should have an option to outright murder somebody like that proves, to me at least, that they don't care about her behaving in character anymore. If she's willing to murder the only caretaker she has left, she's willing to murder the person responsible for that same person's death as well.
Also, if Arvo is in season 3 and we don't get an option to murder him, I'm fucking done with telltale forever.

No.13045
>>13044Not sure, really. Imagine like you give this developer the rights to make the game, and a rough guideline of "make an interactive story". No further requirements. How would it turn out?
No.13046
>>13045I'm not really sure. I can't think of any other developers that would be able to create an "interactive story" as well as telltale could. I honestly think that we should at the very least write them while a talented team of programmers, artists, animators, etc. take care of the rest.
No.13047
>>13046I'd pick Naughty Dog. I've only ever played one of their games (Uncharted 2 for the PS3), but they really seem to like going for the "cinematic storytelling" angle, often to the detriment of their usual action games. I think if they ever settled down and made something similar in format to TT's games instead of yet another TPS, they'd do a great job of it.
Also, it would look really nice. They have some really good animators.

I'll be honest, I don't see why we need a dedicated greentext story thread. Half the fun of a greentext story is people's responses to it, and I'd wager a
very small minority of our already small community even checks threads besides the community thread very regularly.
