Whew, just beat Dying Light.
Do you think TWD universe would be more interesting if it had "special" zombies like you see in L4D and Dying Light? I know they're mostly there to add variety to the gameplay of those games, but I think it would be interesting if on top of the threat of just plain walkers, people in TWD had to worry about some zombies that can run or "call" a horde in, for example. Something to spice up the regular ol' "shamble til you find a human" behaviour.
No.13530
>>13523Exactly like my theory with Jane. Jane felt guilty about what happened to her sister and saw Clementine as a chance to make up for it, going to extreme lengths to get her way.
Jane and Jolene were psycho.
No.13531
>>13529I'm not really a fan of zombies that don't follow the classic model. At some point they just aren't zombies to me. I just want slow, shuffling hordes of dumb dead people wanting to chew on someones face.
No.13532
>>13529The closest thing we got to special zombies were those who had reanimated wearing body armour or riot gear, and maybe that bloated walker in the well. If anything that one was just a slightly worse bio-hazard.
No.13533
>>13531I'm inclined to agree with you, going too far with the "special" zombies makes it too science fiction-y, since they seem to gain superhuman abilities.
I think it would be kinda neat if, for example, some zombie hordes had like an alpha male or something. It would really fit in with their animalistic tendencies.
No.13534
>>13527I didn't shoot her. I played as morally as possible, although I did fuck up a few times such as dropping Ben.
>>13529I agree with
>>13531 about zombies with special abilities not being "real" zombies, but at the same time I would like to see how the characters would react to walkers that could run or otherwise do more than just eat and walk.

With good reason, too. Who could resist this angel? No.13536

No.13538
>>13529There'd be a lot more deaths. People in TWD universe can't handle what's on their plate already, so advanced zombie-monsters would've already wiped out the human race.
But, yeah, of course it would be more interesting. Who knows, maybe they would've had to adapt and been better at surviving.
But child zombie-monsters give me the creeps, so no.

I remember a thread or two back, an anon said they would like to see a zombie story from the point of view of a soldier, but I was thinking what makes it more interesting to me is when we get stories from the pov of average Joes. Aren't soldiers taught basic survival? Plus they have knowledge of the use of firearms and CQC, but a guy like Lee has no clue about that sort of stuff and has to struggle to adapt.
Anyway, just speaking my mind and trying to get some discussion going. I'm bored at work.
No.13564
>>13563Don't remember if you were with us when this happened, but actually discussed something similar in a stream one time. I think it was about how the military would handle the ZA. No.13565
>>13563Yeah that was me, but I believe I said it in stream chat (maybe in a thread too, I dunno). My idea wasn't so much the personal experience, but the group dynamic. I figure it would be cool to see an infantry unit or something face the apocalypse together since they trained and possibly fought together before the ZA, as opposed to what we usually see in ZA media which is groups of survivors that meet
after the ZA. Plus, you could explore the collapse of command structure and supply infrastructure, insubordination, soldiers going AWOL, etc.

Clem and her family wouldn't have the middle class life they enjoy in the game and Clem herself would probably have already witnessed or be aware of terrible shit even before the ZA. I know he's probably shitposting, but it would be nice to try and have a civil conversation about the topic. It
is a bit unusual for someone like me to spend hours making this stuff in SFM, and I'd like to discuss it with someone who perhaps doesn't share the same views as me. However, it's obvious he has nothing to say besides calling me a pedophile, so I don't think that's gonna happen.

>>13705>It is a bit unusual for someone like me to spend hours making this stuff in SFMAnon,
please, there's nothing unusual about it. There are alot of people out there who take their fandom much farther than you do, and the way you handle yours is considerably healthier, especially when compared to them.

What I'm trying to say is, there's nothing out of the ordinary about making SFM stuff of Clementine. I myself have made stuff of her in Garry's Mod, and if I had a computer that could run it, I'd be using SFM myself. It's just an advanced form of making fanart.
