The series was written by Robert Kirkman with art by Sean Phillips and covers by Arthur Suydam. It was the first series in the Marvel Zombies series of related stories. The story is set in an alternate universe where the world's superhero population has been infected with a virus which turned them into zombies.

Whew, just beat Dying Light.

Do you think TWD universe would be more interesting if it had "special" zombies like you see in L4D and Dying Light? I know they're mostly there to add variety to the gameplay of those games, but I think it would be interesting if on top of the threat of just plain walkers, people in TWD had to worry about some zombies that can run or "call" a horde in, for example. Something to spice up the regular ol' "shamble til you find a human" behaviour.

 No.13530

>>13523
Exactly like my theory with Jane. Jane felt guilty about what happened to her sister and saw Clementine as a chance to make up for it, going to extreme lengths to get her way.
Jane and Jolene were psycho.

 No.13531

>>13529
I'm not really a fan of zombies that don't follow the classic model. At some point they just aren't zombies to me. I just want slow, shuffling hordes of dumb dead people wanting to chew on someones face.

 No.13532

>>13529
The closest thing we got to special zombies were those who had reanimated wearing body armour or riot gear, and maybe that bloated walker in the well. If anything that one was just a slightly worse bio-hazard.

 No.13533

>>13531
I'm inclined to agree with you, going too far with the "special" zombies makes it too science fiction-y, since they seem to gain superhuman abilities.

I think it would be kinda neat if, for example, some zombie hordes had like an alpha male or something. It would really fit in with their animalistic tendencies.

I didn't shoot her. I played as morally as possible, although I did fuck up a few times such as dropping Ben.

There'd be a lot more deaths. People in TWD universe can't handle what's on their plate already, so advanced zombie-monsters would've already wiped out the human race.

I remember a thread or two back, an anon said they would like to see a zombie story from the point of view of a soldier, but I was thinking what makes it more interesting to me is when we get stories from the pov of average Joes. Aren't soldiers taught basic survival? Plus they have knowledge of the use of firearms and CQC, but a guy like Lee has no clue about that sort of stuff and has to struggle to adapt.

Anyway, just speaking my mind and trying to get some discussion going. I'm bored at work.

 No.13564

Don't remember if you were with us when this happened, but actually discussed something similar in a stream one time. I think it was about how the military would handle the ZA. I said that I think that they'd get paranoid and start killing eachother thinking their fellow soldiers are infected.

 No.13565

>>13563
Yeah that was me, but I believe I said it in stream chat (maybe in a thread too, I dunno). My idea wasn't so much the personal experience, but the group dynamic. I figure it would be cool to see an infantry unit or something face the apocalypse together since they trained and possibly fought together before the ZA, as opposed to what we usually see in ZA media which is groups of survivors that meet after the ZA. Plus, you could explore the collapse of command structure and supply infrastructure, insubordination, soldiers going AWOL, etc.

Well, Lee and Clementine are black, and Jim Crow laws were still in effect, so you can imagine how different their lives would be at the start of the story and how differently the other characters would treat them. Lee would probably still be a teacher, but at a humble school for black children instead of at a respected university in the South. Clem and her family wouldn't have the middle class life they enjoy in the game and Clem herself would probably have already witnessed or be aware of terrible shit even before the ZA. Lee, and to a somewhat lesser extant Clementine, would have a way harder time convincing people to trust them. The game would be harder and even more depressing.

Yup, I was gonna say this. Disneyland is designed from the ground up for kids like Clementine. She'd be in heaven.

>having to say good bye to her.

It hurts to think about.

Anyways, I'm off to bed.
I'll leave you guys with this, made upon request. I put lots of time and love into making it, so please tell me what you think!

It is whatever you make of it. You can't see it in the final render, but the camera's attached to "your" head and "you're" kneeling down to get to Clem's eye level.

You may be right about the "fucked in the head" part, but calling us pedophiles is just insulting.

I know that anything I say will sound wrong to you, so perhaps it's in your best interest to just leave it at that. There's very little you can do that will change our opinions about this.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man. I can say with utmost confidence that I abhor actual pedophiles, and comparing me to one is pretty rash.

I'm trying to calmly discuss this with you, but your accusatory tone isn't helping at all. Plus, if you have such a problem with what I make, why don't you just hide it?

Thanks for the words of confidence, anon.

I know he's probably shitposting, but it would be nice to try and have a civil conversation about the topic. It is a bit unusual for someone like me to spend hours making this stuff in SFM, and I'd like to discuss it with someone who perhaps doesn't share the same views as me. However, it's obvious he has nothing to say besides calling me a pedophile, so I don't think that's gonna happen.

Anon, please, there's nothing unusual about it. There are alot of people out there who take their fandom much farther than you do, and the way you handle yours is considerably healthier, especially when compared to them.

Well for one thing, you aren't responding in a hostile manner to the guy calling you a pedophile. And in general you do not behave in such a way as to indicate that you have a mental illness stemming from your obsession with Clementine.

What I'm trying to say is, there's nothing out of the ordinary about making SFM stuff of Clementine. I myself have made stuff of her in Garry's Mod, and if I had a computer that could run it, I'd be using SFM myself. It's just an advanced form of making fanart.

I suppose you're right. I also make a point of not letting /ttgg/ interfere with my studies or anything, so it's not like it's consuming my life or anything.

At least I'm not making original character donut steel Sonic recolors that wear Clem's hat
