No.2037
I saw a bunch of anons talking about there being too many threads, and how some of you want to narrow it down to just the Community and Drawfag threads. Let me know how many of you guys support that and think that is a good idea in here, and how many of you are against it. State your reasons why you want it also.
http://strawpoll.me/2749449 No.2038
Thread is going to be stickied for a bit so people see it
No.2039
I voted no because we'd still need a thread for TWAU and a separate shipping thread so it can be kept out of the main discussion so nobody else has to see it.
No.2041
Yes. Because that way we'd move faster and we could mantain all kinds of discussion in one place like in half chan.
No.2042
>>2041I still think keeping TWD and TWAU somewhat seperate as they are completely different games, even though not many people post about TWAU.
I definetly think keeping shipping seperate as it gets pretty fuckin creepy. It's better to give them a place to post it so we can avoid it like the plague instead of them posting it in a general discussion thread.
No.2043
No, but I do think there should be a thread limit, just not to two threads. The community thread is great because it isn't periodically derailed by Kenny vs Jane arguments, characterfagging, and shippers.
>>2039And like this anon mentioned we're still gonna need separate threads for other TT games.
No.2044
>>2043Thanks.
But seriously, did you see the stuff Lexi posted earlier in the shipping thread?
I'd like to keep that stuff being posted there so it does less damage until it gets removed.

>>2055Not to mention the drawfag thread.
So, would general, TWAU, shipping and OC/requests (combining transparent and drawfag threads) make sense?
No.2057
>>2056Would mods count as OC? Because we also have a mod thread. Also, what about the golden moments thread? I don't really see where else that could fit in.
No.2058

This is mostly about trimming away redundant threads that serve no purpose or don't get posted in, like the separate character threads.
No.2059

and maybe some flycatchers/containment threads like

>>2053I'm looking at the catalog right now and I'm thinking:
Welcome to /ttgg/ thread
/ttgg/ Q&A thread
General discussion thread
OC & requests thread
Modding thread
Kenny vs. Jane thread
Golden moments thread (unless someone else has a better idea for what to do with it)
Shipping thread (autosaged if possible)
We have plenty of room for threads so any other topics that get made should be okay too.
No.2064
>>2062These arguments often end up derailing threads and preventing any other discussion properly taking place. Keep it to one thread.
>>2063That sounds sensible.
No.2065

No.2066

>>2066I've been in those discussions a lot of times and what I liked about them was that I could talk about Jane vs Kenny and whatever the fuck others anon were commenting. We had more than one just topic of discussion and it often leaded to other topics with other characters. It was great and fun and it should be part of the community thread.
No.2068
I say
-Community thread
-OC/Request
-TWAU
-Shipping thread(autosage)
No.2089
I say the less rules, the better. No limit on threads, as long as threads aren't blatantly similar.
I didn't come here from halfchan to have to abide by more rules than I already did before.
No.2093
I voted Yes. I think we should limit the number of threads. It's nice to have separate threads for community-related things like
>>1102, but game-related topics should be kept in one place.
The reason I keep 4chan's /ttgg/ open all day is because the discussion is contained in one place and it auto-updates. That's convenient. Here, the discussion is sporatic. In one thread people are talking about shipping, in another drawing, and so on. I only visit 8chan's /ttgg/ a few times per week for a few minutes at a time. I can't be bothered to F5 all day. Is it just me?
The downside of having so many threads is not everybody is exposed to the discussion, and so the place appears to move slower, and it's less exciting at least to me. There aren't enough anons here to populate the threads with engaging conversations.
No.2094
>>2093A few threads would work well. It allows anons to have conversations relating to a couple of topics where they can have them and also allows us to keep shit like shipping to its own thread.
No.2099
So have we come to any sort of consensus? Delete some threads, but leave more than originally planned?
No.2103
>>2099Yes, I'd like that. Maybe we should make another strawpoll listing the current threads and vote which one we'd like to keep.

So what are we going to do with the threads that don't win? There no reason to deleted them anymore since we can repost images now.

No.2197
>>2176I think I'm going to sticky the threads we decided on, and lock the ones we don't. That seem fair to everyone?
No.2199
Okay, this is what I did. I locked most of the threads. The ones that are still up are the following:
Community, Transparent, FAQ, Golden Moments, Mod, Drawfag, other title threads like TWAU, and Shipping thread.
I decided they don't need to be stickyied since they will be the only threads getting posted in anyways. The threads for specific characters like Lillybro and Boatbro should just be posted in the community threads instead because they help with discussion and moving the thread along. No threads were deleted. I'm going to lock this thread now so everyone can see this post. If you want me to unlock certain threads let me know by posting in the Community thread.
