Morning, anons.

>>23751

I wouldn't say it was dedication, I had nothing else to do. I played alone, as without friends, for all that time without saying a word to anyone. Just like in every other game, it felt more sad and lonely than anything.

I guess I'd like to play something with you anons but you'd be better without. Even though you are online in different times than me, you'd grow tired of me very fast because I can't talk one to one. Nobody likes that, no wonder I'm lonely. Sorry again..

>>23788

Anon, the only reason you think you can't talk to people is because you never try. Sometimes you just gotta force yourself out there, you know?

If you're online next time I play GTA, I'll be sure to invite you to a couple of races or heists. You don't need to talk or anything. Just don't expect me to go easy on you. I'm in it to win it, baby.

But why does it bother you THAT much? he owes you nothing. If he wants to draw ponies sucking human dick that's his own bussiness for fuck's sake. You can't be this bitter over the interests of an online dude you barely know.

Fuck's sake. If you want to see Clem material THAT much learn to draw and stop bitching.

A lot of people would call us freaks for having such an obsession about Clementine. People will always find something about you they don't like.

It's about perspective. I really don't care what others do with their time as long as it doesn't involve me if I don't want it to.

>>23792

Sounds like social anxiety. Totally understandable for you to feel that way. But remember that you'll probably never run into those people online again, and certainly not in person. There's no need to fear being judged by them. You talking to us here proves that you are capable of socializing.

But hey, I'm no psychologist. Who the heck knows what goes on in peoples' heads. My brother is a neuroscientist and even he doesn't know.

Just promise me you'll try not to quit my heists

>>23794

Or maybe he just had more time. Either way, I don't know why you really care that much.

My progress so far for anyone who still cares. I'm currently beating up the Amirids for the last bit of the Valencia that isn't in Clem's control. With a little shrewdness and luck the Clementonian forces destroyed the allied Sunni armies piecemeal. One of the emirates is even getting sieged into submission by a puny Catholic rebellion because they have no military to defend themselves with. The Jimena brothers are going at it, pressing their claims on each other and it won't be long one of them controls two kingdoms. It'll probably be the King Sancho II of Castille which is bad because he controls lands that we want and it'll be much tougher to fight him then.

I'm honestly not too happy with how I've played so far. I could have made made similar progress much sooner but it's been a while since I've played a Catholic Iberia game and the danger of fighting half the peninsula made me too cautious. Now that I'm surrounded by them, I'm gonna take out as many of the smaller realms asap before mega-Castille forms and eats up all the Sunni lands.

>>23824

So did I. I even deluded myself into thinking he'd show up in the last episode unannounced based solely on the achievements. It really doesn't make any sense in hindsight and I'm embarrassed I was so convinced.

And here's the situation at home. Clementine now has 7 6 children and she's taken personal charge over the education of two of her eldest, Leigh and heir apparent Alvin. Her husband rules a county under her realm. Clem also changed gender laws to Agnatic-Cognatic, meaning women can now inherit titles if there are no eligible males.

>>23841

I've been distracted by other things lately and there honestly wasn't much going on to post about. I spent most of last session sieging and the RNG wasn't giving out any of the interesting events that I hoped it would. Clem would go on hunts for the white stag but nothing much would happen during them.

>Clementine strikes me as someone who would want 2 or 3 kids. Maybe not 7, but certainly a couple.

CK2 characters with high fertility (like Clem and her husbando) will breed like rabbits for as long they are able. Couple that with the player having almost no control over their sex lives and you'll end up with huge families. I actually toyed with the idea of using a birth control mod but I didn't like the how it worked.

That's kind of how I saw the arm choice back in season 1.

We could hurry and try to get to Clem before she and the fuck who kidnapped her are beyond our reach, but that would mean that Lee would certainly die. Or we could cut off his arm, lose a lot of time on the actual operation and recovery, which could mean that we won't be able to find Clem, but also that Lee might live through the ordeal.

Of course, that isn't how it happened, but it's what I was thinking when the choice was first presented.

Considering how there was quite some time passed before he was bit, Lee was doomed to death and cutting his arm off was a waste of time. If you don't cut it off, Lee passes out one or two times more due to worsening infection. I thought that was a fun fact.

I'd think Clem would be matured enough to know a lot more than kissing when AJ's that age…

It's a possibility they've been hunting for food so it isn't out of the realms of possibility that Clem would get a good meal, but everything is probably rationed there. It seems like a large community.

I think that S3 will focus on Wellington and Clem will end up there no matter what, it would be a waste to not explore a rebuilding society or destroy it completely in couple of episodes.

 No.23877

>>23872

As >>23874 said, not cutting off Lee's arm still results in a similar delay. But I suppose there's no way anyone could have predicted that.

I kinda prefer cutting the arm off though, because even though it doesn't really make much sense logically, it fits the whole idea of Lee and co. being clueless about how the infection works.

>>23873

Oh yeah, that was it. Good night anon.

>>23875

>What are the chances they have turkey in Wellington?

Fairly high, actually. Turkeys are common enough near Ohio that it's not out of the question that Wellingon scouts could find some and domesticate them. It obviously wouldn't be a nice turkey dinner with all the fixings, but Clem might get a nice slice of turkey once in a while.

>>23876

I think you're right, but I was also wondering if they kept any poultry or livestock.

>I think that S3 will focus on Wellington and Clem will end up there no matter what, it would be a waste to not explore a rebuilding society or destroy it completely in couple of episodes.

I'd like Wellington to be explored as well or at least a place like it. I'm tired of traipsing around the woods.

 No.23879

>>23878

>I'd like Wellington to be explored as well or at least a place like it

I would too, but if they do that, they also need to be careful so it doesn't turn into a snoozefest like TWD show sometimes did. The farm is a prime example of that. They at least learned from their mistakes and kept the prison somewhat interesting with the virus outbreak and the Governor.

 No.23880

>>23879

I wouldn't worry too much about that. Wellington seems like a big place; assuming it was built out of an abandoned town it could have a bunch of various locales within it, like Fabletown. You don't get much variation if a whole season takes place on a small farm on the other hand.

>They at least learned from their mistakes and kept the prison somewhat interesting with the virus outbreak and the Governor.

Wasn't the reason season 2 took place entirely at Hershel's because their budget dropped to nonexistence at that point? They probably didn't have much choice.

 No.23881

>>23880

>I wouldn't worry too much about that

This is TTG we're talking about. They're capable of fucking anything up.

A little town setting with several locales would be pretty neat, though. Kinda like how in S1 they were going to let you go freely between the motel and the St. Johns.

It's also a question of who you want to appease. TWD needs to strike a careful balance between drama and zombie action. Too much drama and it turns out like the comics where nothing happens, and too much zombie action and there's no feeling of permanence due to being pushed around by zombies all the time.

I wouldn't know about the show's budget situation. Wasn't season 1 incredibly popular? Why would they reduce the budget after that?

>>23881

>TWD needs to strike a careful balance between drama and zombie action. Too much drama and it turns out like the comics where nothing happens, and too much zombie action and there's no feeling of permanence due to being pushed around by zombies all the time.

That seems simplistic. Unless by "drama" you mean quiet moments where not much happens? Drama done well is the meat of the games and the zombies are just there to act as the setting and for thematic purposes. The human conflict is much more interesting than "zombie action".

>I wouldn't know about the show's budget situation. Wasn't season 1 incredibly popular? Why would they reduce the budget after that?

I've only read a little, but before season 2 was started AMC slashed the budget substantially and fired the then-showrunner Frank Darabont.

f:e This sums it up pretty well

https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/2u99ht/til_that_amc_cut_the_budget_of_the_walking_dead/

>The TL;DR is that Frank Darabont assembled a great cast and crew (many of whom had worked with Darabont on prior projects) to sell the production of the show to AMC, and was given $3.4 million each episode to

>produce the first season of 6 episodes. However when renewed for a second season, AMC slashed the budget to $2.75 million per episode despite ordering 13 episodes, 7 more than the first season, and decided to

>fire Darabont over disagreements and strained relationship with AMC executives. However, despite having made the decision to fire him weeks prior, they waited until after Darabont promoted the show at Comicon

>2011 to inform him, and subsequently 'pressured' the show's cast and crew to remain silent about the affair.

 No.23886

>>23884

Yeah, it's unfortunate that we're so far apart in timezones and my stream times don't work out very well for you.

>>23885

Yes, I was being a bit simplistic because that's how a lot of people seem to view TWD series, and likely how TTG might view the fanbase it so fervently tries to pander to. I won't disagree that human conflict is much more interesting than "zombie action", it's the foundation on which TWD works so well, but you need to incorporate zombies once in a while. Straying too far into territory where the zombies are no longer a threat and the only real problems are interpersonal ones would rob a crucial part of TWD formula. That's the problem the comics are having right now; no zombies anywhere so it's just like any other drama. Why even call it TWD at that point?

I dunno, I'm not really putting much thought into this right now. Bit buzzed and pretty tired so I think I'll go to bed. Good night /ttgg/.

Or just a sneak peak for Season 3, showing you where Clem is, depending on your last choice in E5. Honestly I wouldn't call Christa rude. With Lee, she was cautious, slow to trust and got pissed when she felt that he put Clementine in danger. That's not unreasonable. She gets points for being worried about Clem's safety in my book.

After Omid and her baby died she was pretty much dead inside. She caused Clem a lot of hurt, but I wouldn't say she was rude or mean. Just cold, unable or unwilling to get attached. Even so, she kept marching on and taking care of Clem, even though she didn't necessarily have to. It would be incredibly immoral of her to just abandon Clem imo, but people have snapped after less.

 No.23917

>>23915

>To me Kenny was the blatant villain of all this

Yeah no, if you saw the Kenny endings, it's obvious that he's the only good character in season 2 besides Clementine. Kenny sacrifices himself so Clem and AJ can be safe whereas Jane tries to kill him just so she can have Clem to herself. Also the choice to stay with Jane has Clementine say "I forgive you Jane" meaning Jane did something so bad that Clem has to forgive her for it. That's not the case when staying with Kenny, meaning Kenny, completely unironically, did nothing wrong.

>>23916

Well yeah, they obviously wanted to replace Luke, but I think it's because they wanted episode 5 to end in a fight, and they realized Luke starting a fight with Kenny would be out of character for Luke, but everybody is out of character in episode 5 so I don't know why they had a problem with Luke being out of character. Maybe they realized it would be more noticeably OOC for Luke to start fighting with Kenny, but it would make slightly more sense since there was build up to a conflict between them in past episodes.

 No.23918

>She was, just like everybody else in S2. I think, as I said, she was the least-awful. The most tolerable among annoying assholes and poorly-written shitheads.

You could understand why people don't like her though, right? Aside from why die-hard Kennyfags obviously dislike her, she's a totally superfluous character that negatively affects the story. The game goes to lengths in the 4th episode to prove she's right when Sarah dies no matter what Clem does, which is part of what makes it the worst episode to me.

I think Kenny was actually the strongest character because he was the only one with a discernible arc, but yeah, he could have been handled much better, especially since the reason he was so compelling is partially the reason Clem was weakly written.

I chalk that up more to the fact the writers had a giant Kenny bias and ignored the game fans who hated him, like myself.

If anything Kenny wanted Clem to himself, no matter what the endings say. He was manipulative, selfish, and quite egotistic.

Even though I prefer Kenny I can easily see why people would view him as the antagonist based on his behavior in the 4th and 5th episodes. I also think TTG was biased towards his character which is part f the reason they focused on him this season and why Jane's ending was lame compared to his.

 No.23922

It's kind of hard to make Jane's endings as emotionally satisfying, given that we knew her for two and a half episodes, if that.

 No.23923

>>23919

>Janefags can't admit they're wrong about Kenny so they twist facts to fit their opinion on him

When has Kenny shown to be any of those things? If Kenny's ending alone doesn't disprove the opinion that he's selfish, he saves Lee's life at the end of episode 1 even if you were an asshole to him. He refuses food from you in episode 2 unless you feed his son first. He still comes with you to save Clementine even if he didn't in episode 4. Tries to save Ben's life if you let him live or "sacrifices" himself to save Christa if you didn't. Offers to take Clem in when they first met at the ski lodge. Takes a beating from Carver so Clem doesn't have to. Still helps Rebecca give birth to the baby even though he just lost his new loved one not too ago. And of course I already mentioned his endings.

>>23921

>Even though I prefer Kenny I can easily see why people would view him as the antagonist

I can too. It was a ploy fabricated by telltale to get people to side against him in the end, and it worked perfectly. Still doesn't change the fact that anti-Kennyfags are wrong about him.

It's like they didn't even try though. It wasn't even an ending, it felt like a stinger after the credits. It's sort of the same deal with the alone ending. I do think Luke should've been the second choice rather than Jane because even if he was boring and an inconsistent character there would've been more emotion there just by having been with him from the first episode. They could've had Luke take Clem and AJ to Wellington if you chose him and it would've been stronger Jane's non-ending.

>>23923

I wouldn't call it a "ploy", just a bad attempt at making him a "realistically flawed" character. It doesn't really change TTG still preferred his character in the end.

Maybe once when Sarita was dying, I'm not sure. I do remember that he willingly left her behind. He was upset during the fountain scene, but he definitively didn't yell at her there. I think I stayed silent either during the second or the third conversation option. He made a passive aggressive remark at the group for sending a little girl to deal with him though. The conversation in the tent was sad, but lovely. He clearly wasn't angry anymore by that time, just depressed.

 No.23931

>>23928

>It doesn't really change TTG still preferred his character in the end

I disagree. Even though Kenny's endings are the best ones, the game strongly encourages you to not get them, even giving you multiple opportunities to avoid them.

 No.23932

>>23926

He does calls you a "stupid, fucking kid" only if you axe Sarita in the face in front of him. God, that scene was hilariously morbid.

>>23927

If you're talking about the scene in the tent you don't have to stay silent, you can have a quiet heart-to-heart with him. One of the legitimately best scenes in either season because of how the dialogue tree works in that.

 No.23933

When I mean bias I'm mostly talking about the story shifts focus to his character and arc in the middle of the season, to the detriment of Clem's character and her arc. He's literally the only major character with a complete arc while everyone else either died pointlessly or was neglected. Also, yes, having a much better written ending that actually resolves the season even if most people didn't get it is still bias. I like Kenny but he should've been handled better.

I'm not. I'm not sure if I've said this before, but one of the only reasons why I was introduced to /mlp/ was because my ex-wife was a lifelong fan of My Little Pony. She knew I used to be good at drawing and encouraged me to draw for /mlp/, so I hung out there and drew a lot of shit for several threads. I haven't been as active there since I discovered /ttgg/ back in Feb. of last year. Then the whole shit with my divorce and mother dying made me lose interest in drawing and my "creativity well" dried up. I actually had a comic or two involving Clem and Christa in the time between the prologue and the campfire scene, but I had no inspiration left. Tae reawakened my interests.

So, actually, I have drawn more Clem for /ttgg/ in the last year than I have drawn ANYTHING for /mlp/. I'm more devoted to /ttgg/ now. I spend nearly every night here except on my weekends which I spend with my gf.

Oh, I'm sure he fucking loves it. Society crumbling is perfect for a man like Nate. No empathy, constant desire for stimuli, danger and excitement. No reason to hold back. And somehow I doubt he had much going for him before shit hit the fan either. He doesn't strike me as a Wall Street kind of psycho. He was probably just some local trouble maker/drunk/junkie, and maybe even something more serious than that.

But loving ZA doesn't mean that you'll survive it. Impulsive behavior, fearlessness, arrogance, thrill seeking, substance abuse, carelessness, possibly explosive temper, those are all shit traits to have in a survival situation.

That said, he isn't a completely lost cause by any means. He is clever despite his blind spots, he can be cool under pressure better than most people, he is ruthless, and is capable of being manipulative and playing nice, at least for some time.

I also like to think that he does have a sense of loyalty to people who amuse him for whatever reason. He went full berserk mode when Eddie killed one of the guys he was with at the time, and he risked his life to save Russ. Potentially twice. Now, I doubt that loyalty is very enduring. People like Nate tend to get bored very easily, but it's still an interesting thing to note. He might even be lonely.

 No.23993

>He is clever despite his blind spots

This.

The stunts he pulls with Russel really only put Russel's life at risk. He was quick to come up with a plan to flank the couple at the gas station, and his complete lack of empathy towards the couple shows that he's at least a really good bandit. It may not be advantageous to be so reckless, but I doubt Nate thinks in terms of long-term survival anyways. If he's gonna go down, he'll want it to be in a blaze of glory. Really, the only reason I think he's survived so long is because he's survived 184 individual days.

>He might even be lonely.

That's why I think he picked up Russel. You don't exactly make too many friends as a bandit, and Russel wasn't very threatening.

As for lady friends, do you think he's nuts enough to pull Walker teeth like the Governor and… you know…

Almost a quarter of a century since her rule began, Clementine, now 40, has gained control of most of the de jure lands of Aragon and the humbled King Sancho Jimena, recognizing that God has not favored him, abdicates the throne to her. The kingdom of Aragon/Clementonia is now rightfully ruled by Queen Clementine Everett.

We're the most powerful realm on the peninsula now, able beat Castille for the province of Albarracin. The only de jure provinces left to take are Calatayud and Minorca, controlled by King Sancho II of Castille and the Abbadids, respectfully. Once we have those we'll try and conquer and subjugate as much of Iberia while Clementine is still on the throne, maybe even form an empire-title if we're feeling really ambitious. We also have a great opportunity to literally cut Castille in two but it would require Clem to orchestrate a murder, something I'm not sure she would do.

>>24001

>So Aragon is dead? Nice.

Technically, the kingdom title of Aragon is currently held by Clementine, I just changed the name to Clementonia. The duchy of Barcelona is also still named Clementonia.

>How would this work?

I just start a plot to murder Sancho II and convince courtiers and vassals within his realm to join it. Conspirators give a certain amount of "plot power" depending on their position and ability. A murder plot should work because he stupidly made his brother, the embittered Duke Alfonso that he usurped the kingdom of Leon from, his spymaster, giving him a huge amount of plot power. There's still a chance Clem's involvement in the plot could be leaked, successful or not, which would damage her reputation, though honestly not as severely as it probably should. Once Sancho's dead, his two kingdom titles will be divided among his oldest sons due to how succession law currently works in Castille, splitting the realm.

>After Castille, the next target should be Madrid

I think Madrid is currently held by the Dhunnunids, who are an utter clusterfuck right now as you can tell from my earlier pic. I could fight them them next for it if you'd like. They basically have no army.

The reason girls may not seem to be interested in you is because you give them a poor image without realizing it. Women are not attracted to men who seem unsure or withdrawn. Make eye contact. Smile. Even if you aren't confident in yourself, pretend to be. "Fake it, 'til you make it."

You'll be surprised when you discover that you won't have to approach girls, they'll approach you.

I had zero confidence before I met my first girlfriend. I was just like you: shy, withdrawn, quiet, etc. Girls never noticed me and I always kept to myself. One day, I took it upon myself to change who I was, so I walked proudly, kept my head up, made eye contact (despite how uncomfortable it made me feel at the time) and smiled at everyone who's eyes met mine. In no less than a week, a girl approached me and would later become my first wife. Even in the first few weeks of having a girlfriend, I noticed other girls flirting with me, like cashiers, classmates, etc. It's all about confidence, anon. Project an image of confidence and girls will notice you.

Good luck anon. I hope you find the strength to want to change your situation. It all begins with you. You have to decide whether you're ready to change and improve your social life, or if you're okay with the idea of spending a life alone and unloved.

Tough love time Anon:

DJ's right. Nothing will make a girl's thighs drier than a man who not only begs for their attention, acts like he needs their attention, and then sulks when he doesn't get it. Women almost universally desire CONFIDENCE, self-esteem. Think of people you've talked to before or heard; have you ever met anyone else who was self-conscious and self-loathing? No one wants to be around them! The problem isn't you, it's your attitude.

First off, stop focusing on women. I don't know how old you are but when you reach 19.20 you'll realize that women in your life go from being a "necessity" to a "burden". Enjoy being single and enjoy time alone; nothing's wrong with it.

Secondly, confidence. Confidence will gain you friends, many friends, and potentially a woman (or multiple women even!). Even if you feel absolute 0 confidence in yourself, fake it 'till you make it. It's not a bad strategy with self-confidence. Every day think of all the things good about yourself. Things you do well, things you think highly of about yourself, even tiny things. Think of them every day, and whenever you feel self-conscious, drill it into your head the things that are good. Darkness always gets dispelled by the light in the end. Keep thinking positively and confidently and that will spread to you.

It won't be easy, not at all, but nothing worth having is ever easy to get.

-Sincerely, Anon who once suffered from depression and crippling self-consciousness.

 No.24035

>>24032

I'm not saying the Marvel game will look like TWD, just that it'll have a realistic style similar to TWD.

>>24033

MCU stands for Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Marvel movies made by Marvel Studios. That's why I say the Marvel game might have a realistic style, because the movies are live-action. If it's styled after the Marvel comics however, it might be a mix between having a style and shading similar to TWAU, but with the level of detail of TWD.
