Yes…very much so
No.24083
>Do you think GOT has gotten better with each episode?
So far, yes. First episode was a snorefest, but now it's kind of exciting.
>What other Borderlands characters do you expect to see in future episodes of TFTB?
Probably more of the playable character Vault Hunters, I guess.
>Why did you submit to Gryff?
I've not played GoT, so technically I didn't.
>What do you think is at the North Grove?
It can't be dragons, because that's not something a Northern house would have access to, and I doubt it's some kind of fortress as if it were to save the house, it would require an army to man it.
>Will we see Felix again if you let him live?
Probably, but we'll have to wait and see.

Somehow I doubt we'll get any.

I don't have many friends, I'm socially withdrawn from society. I don't know what to say in each given situation. I repeat myself often, not even that social worker has an idea what to talk with me. I don't know what's happening in the world. Others can tolerate me for couple of days or weeks at a time. Not even lolilover likes me here. I don't have any ambitions or goals driving me. I don't have any skills or passion for anything. I don't know what to do. I don't care about myself anymore. I've been failing most of my classes for the whole year. I'll never be anything. I don't deserve you talking to me, all I deserve is a big pile of shit.
I guess that's that. Maybe you talk to me out of pity. I'm wasting your time. I don't even write you back when I'm this melancholic.
No.24101
>>24100
Anon, you have the power to change all of that. The reason it seems so hopeless for you right now is because you haven't changed anything. You haven't tried to improve yourself or go beyond this community. If it helps any, I encourage to take the time you would spend on here talking to us, and get outside more often, meet new people. I talk to you because you're a friend, and as your friend, it pains me to see you like this. I care for you very much and I know you can find the strength to get through your problems, one at a time.
No.24103
>>24100
>I don't have many friends
You have us, and once you're willing to talk to other people and be more sociable with people outside of this general, you'll eventually make more.
>I'm socially withdrawn from society
You have the power to change that, just stop being afraid to interact with people besides us.
>I don't know what to say in each given situation
So? I don't always know what to say when I want to reply to certain posts here, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying my time here.
>I repeat myself often
And again you have the power to change that. You can start by simply joining in on any conversation we have here, regardless of what it is, or what you have to say. Any little bit of input helps.
>I don't know what's happening in the world
So? I'm not as informed about what's happening in the world as I would like, or even as I used to be, but that doesn't decrease my worth as a human being, and the same applies to you. You can always just watch the news on TV (assuming you have a TV), or simply read about what's going on on news sites.
>I don't have any ambitions or goals driving me
Well you love Clementine don't you? You could make it a goal of yours to have a daughter of your own someday, just like I have.
>I don't have any skills or passion for anything
You have a talent for making SFM pics, and you have a passion for Clementine. When you put the two together, you can produce some quality stuff.
>I don't know what to do
I don't know how old you are, but if you're talking about not knowing what to do with your life, just remember what I said about your talent for making SFM pics. You may one day be able to make a living doing commissions for people.
>I don't care about myself anymore
And why is that anon? What happened in your life that caused you to feel this way about yourself?
>I'll never be anything
With that attitude you won't. You can most definitely be something anon, but you have to make that first step towards being something.
>Maybe you talk to me out of pity
No. I truly do care about you anon and that why I insist that we talk about your problems and ask you to participate in the discussions we have.
>I'm wasting your time
If you were wasting my time I wouldn't even bother with talking to you, but I do because I care.
The TL;DR version of this is you're blowing things about yourself out of proportion and think they are bigger flaws than they are. None of these things make you a worthless human being and you have to power to change all of them yourself. But you have to be the one to make the effort to change them.
Perhaps it might be overwhelming for you to change all of these things at once. Try fixing them one at a time if it seems too much to handle.

Speaking of Sarah, I was actually wondering something. If Sarah didn't die no matter what in episode 4, do you think she would've died instead in the Russican standoff? I think I would've actually preferred that over how she did die.

>I don't know where to start
Start small. I imagine there's student clubs where you study, join one that interests you and get involved a bit. A book club maybe. That'll get you outside more and meeting people.
>>24120
Funny, your statement sort of applies to either character.
>>24121
What if instead of Luke getting shot, she got shot? Then she'd be even more of a burden on the group. She could even be the one that fell through the ice, and you'd be able to decide whether she's worth the risk to save or not. I bet a lot of people wouldn't save her if that were the case.
>>24122
>along with Becca
Do we know what happened to her? Was she just left behind at Howe's?
No.24125
>>24124
Ha, yeah, Clem was pretty wasted as well. And yeah we don't know, but I'm assuming she died
No.24126
>>24124
>What if instead of Luke getting shot, she got shot?
Actually let's take this a step further, what if Nick lived past episode 2, he makes it to the standoff, and takes a bullet for Clem? He didn't do jackshit in episode 3, but I think it would've redeemed him from almost shooting Clem in episode 1.
>Do we know what happened to her? Was she just left behind at Howe's?
If she was still there when the zombie storm hit, she might as well be as good as dead.
No.24127
>>24126
I didn't really hold a grudge against Nick for nearly shooting Clem. It was an accident, really. A pretty stupid one, but I don't hold anything against him.
>>24126
>If she was still there when the zombie storm hit, she might as well be as good as dead.
You know, I never really thought of this. The group's escape plan basically doomed everyone at Howe's except them to a nasty death by zombies. That would weigh heavily on my conscience.
No.24128
>>24127
Howe's raises a lot of questions to me, but it's probably all bad consistency on TTG's part rather than actual events.
>What happened to the zombie corpses outside in the parking lot?
>No corpses of the 400 Days characters? How'd they possibly survive? (cue DLC cashgrab)
>It took a few days for every zombie to already leave? Of thousands in a horde not even one or two straggled behind?
>If it was empty and once a well-known survivor stronghold how come it wasn't long-since looted or occupied by bandits?
>Again, literally NO zombies were still hanging around?
Call me nitpicky, but Howe's has a lot of odd continuity/sensibility issues.
No.24129
>>24128
That actually makes me wonder how people would feel about the Jane endings if they resulting in Clem and Jane returning to Howe's only to find it still overrun with walkers and/or occupied by bandits who wouldn't let them leave. What said bandits were like the soldiers in that settlement from 28 Days Later? I have a feeling that those continuity issues you raised are a result of Telltale not wanting the Jane ending to be completely hopeless for Clem, especially since they they designed the game so that a majority of people would get the Jane ending.
No.24130
>>24129
I wouldn't go that far. The writing almost exclusively tried to make you side with Kenny.
No.24131
>>24129
Now that I think of it, one of the reasons why I didn't really consider Jane's plan was because I thought Howe's would still be overrun. How long had it been since they escaped Howe's, anyways?
No.24132
>>24130
The game strongly encourages you to side against him as from episode 4 on, everybody in your group tries to convince you that Kenny is crazy and the game gives you two chances to shoot him, and one to abandon him. You only get one chance to abandon Jane. This leads to three ways you can get the alone and only one way to get the Kenny ending. Granted there's only one way to get the Jane ending too, but again, you're encouraged to shoot Kenny as you're given more than one opportunity to do so, you can still leave him even if you don't, and the game just spent two episodes telling you that he's crazy.
No.24133
>>24131
Two or three days depending on whether you choose to leave right away after Rebecca gives birth or wait, not that that choice matters. There's a nine day timeskip regardless of what ending you got anyway, which is probably supposed to explain why the place isn't still overrun, but are we seriously supposed to believe that there won't be even a few zombies still around? What could've possibly driven them away? Especially if they were drawn to Howe's with sound? Not to mention, if Alvin died in episode 2, Clementine blocks the door to Carver's office meaning there would be no way to get inside and shut off the speakers, so they should still be playing when Clem and Jane return.
No.24135
No.24136
>>24133
Well, walkers do eventually lose interest in sound, so I guess you could handwave that part away. I'd have to read the comics or something to learn more about "herd dynamics" to really give a good answer on why the zombies would be gone from Howe's. I know that zombies do often travel in hordes, so perhaps the reason they all left was just because the horde happened to move away. Still not a very satisfying explanation, though.
Also, I just thought of something. Could you mod the game to play whatever you wanted on those speakers?
>>24134
Good night anon. I had a lot of fun playing with you today.

Yeah, I was thinking about how Sarah and Nick would be if Telltale wasn't shit too.
>Nick survives that walker, he finds Jane and Clem, tells them where Sarah and Luke are, he got shot earlier, so they send him back to the others
>Same choice with Sarah
>If she dies, Nick gets pissed at Luke and Jane
>He gets pissed some more after they fug
>He sides with Kenny on the whole Arvo business, more conflict and drama between friends ensues
>Some bonding at the camp fire
>He replaces Bonnie on the lake, except he always dies, either by trying to save Luke or by trying to save Luke and Clem
>If Sarah lives, she and Nick may bond over their ded parents, with Clem chiming in
>How well Sarah functions is determined by your conversation options during the trailer scene, as well as if she considers you her friend
>If you taught her how to use a gun, and she isn't a catatonic mess, she will join in on killing walkers at the deck
>Sarah falls like she originally does, but Nick springs to her rescue, sacrificing his life
>Luke puts him out of his misery as the walkers are tearing him apart
>Some more dialogue with Sarah about Nick and guilt
>She gets shot and killed by the Russians
>Her spine snapped from the bullet or whatever, so her walker is completely helpless, you get to put her down or have someone else to do it
>Kenny is even more pissed at Arvo because of this
>Alternatively Nick gets killed during the episode 2 and Sarah's fate is more or less unchanged in episode 4
You know, something like that. It's not a major change to the story or anything, but it makes the characters more than just red shirts, and out choices more meaningful.

The game didn't really give us a reason to. Which is a shame, since I felt like they had a lot of potential. Nick and Pete interactions, coupled with Nick's arc in episode 2 made me think that he might end up being one of my favorite characters. She was right to abandon the baby, because it's a useless liability. She cares about Clem and could see what a monster Kenny was to begin with. I hated Kenny from S1E2 onward, and while I felt sorry for him in S1E4, that quickly diminished in E5. All of S2 I despised him.

Funny you should say that, because he surrenders to Carver even if you don't stop him from shooting.
>cared more about Clem than some stranger's baby
Again she only cares about Clem because she feels she needs her for her own survival. Which is funny for a hardcore survivalist like her.
>taught her a better technique to escape from zombies
While she did show her that using a screwdriver is better than a hatchet, Clem already does the leg sweep in episode 2.
>saved her from a freezing river
Anybody could've done that, and when I first played I could've sworn it was Bonnie who did it.
>waited by her side until she woke up
So?
>gave her her trusty nail file
Which all mounts to jackshit as she gets the fire going without it if you didn't take it.
>told her she was strong and didn't need the others
Telling her to abandon the others is not a good thing, especially considering Clem is only 11.
>believed in her when few others did at Howe's
Everybody believed in her, why the hell else do you think they asked her to do everything for them?
>showed her that Kenny would flip shit if a stranger's baby ever came into harm
Anybody who cares about their child would. Lee would kill someone if they told him they were responsible for Clementine's death. Hell the stranger didn't even hurt her, and look what happened to him.
>never attacked nor psychologically abused Clem
But Jane can be responsible for 3 game over deaths as a result of her inaction. 4 if you count when Clem can die after the truck crashes.
>didn't hate Clementine's former guardian and didn't constantly fight him.
>say determinant things don't count
>lists something that's determinant
Ether way, Lee's dead by season 2, and Clem doesn't even mention him by name in Jane's presence.
Now the things Kenny does in season 2 are not only good things, but are actually important to the plot, so much so that things would be radically different without him. Not everything Kenny does is good, but the good things outweigh the bad, and again without him things would be different. Without Kenny, who would be the one to protect Clem from Carver's beating? Who would've killed Carver, ensuring that he would no longer be a threat? Who would've been the one to help Rebecca give birth to the baby? Who would've been the one to fix the truck so the group could travel more quickly? Who would've been the one to get Clementine to safety at Wellington?

Yeah, the whole Jaime thing is something I could never really hold against Jane, even as a Kennyfag. From the sound of it, there was nothing she could have done to prevent her death. It was either die with her, or jump and live. Personally I'd double suicide, but that's just me. Surviving day by day on my own for no reason sounds like a shit way to live.
That said, the fact that Jane had humanity before her sister died, doesn't necessarily mean that she still has it after her death.
Speaking of survivalism, how would you guys want to do it in the zombie apocalypse? Go lone wolf like Molly and Jane? Form or join small groups? Large groups? Or go with a partner, like say Christa or Nate?
Personally I like the partner idea the best. Groups, big or small have a lot of egos to deal with and aren't very mobile. Plus the supplies are spread thinner. Everyone has their own agenda, their family. They might be safer because there is safety in numbers, and if they can into agriculture, that's all the better. But if a disaster strikes, they're mostly fucked. Just look at Howe's and Crawford. Forts need to be maintained constantly and without mobility you're sitting ducks. Smaller groups have all the same problems as the big ones, except they also make easy targets.
Going solo is pointless for me, I don't feel like surviving just for the sake of survival. And even if I did, I'm fucked if I'm injured or sick.
A duo though. Someone loyal to you, someone who will watch your back, someone to have fun with, someone to keep you safe when you're debilitated, someone to fight for… That's the way I'd do it. Being nomadic is a lot safer. Maybe in the wilderness somewhere.

I wouldn't go alone, but I'd keep a small group and keep moving around. I think a 4-person group is ideal. A 4-person team can clear an area of zombies very effectively, and can split into teams of 2 if necessary. 4 people isn't so many that supplies become a burden, but is enough to provide a night watch and keep a 360 degree lookout while on the move. 4-man fireteams, for example, are proven to be nearly optimal.

She was a good character. But I don't understand why her fans are still loyal to her. I mean, I sided with Kenny on the whole Larry/RV/moving on business, so when she decided to not help Lee and rat him out about the murder, I wasn't angry at her. She didn't think that he was a good person. I could see why. I genuinely felt horrible about everything she went through, but I was confident that it had to be done.
But then I did a Lillyfag playthrough. And she threw Lee under the bus by outing him as killer, even though he was her only ally. And then she lied to him, stole the RV and left him and Clem stranded with the people Lee antagonized for her benefit. That made me mad. And it was only at that point that I decided that she wasn't a good person.
Lillyfags were the ones she hurt the most. I don't understand why you guys still hold her so close to your heart.
In that way it's similar to the Arvo situation. The shot feels a lot worse when you are unarmed and spend two episodes helping that shit than it does when you steal from him, wish death on him and are threatening to kill his buddy.
And about the whole Kennyfag thing, I just don't know. I could be a bit presumptuous, but you seem to be a tumblr native, while I barely set foot there. And I sure as hell don't go to the official forums, seeing as how they re full of eleven year old. So my exposure to the fanbase comes from the chans and youtube, and in my experience, Janefags are the ones who tend to troll, twist things and fling shit. Could be that you saw more from the fandom than I did. Could be that one or both of us is just biased about the characters we love. Hard to say.

One thing I hate about this whole thing is that you can't side with either character without being labeled as an ___fag. I don't really consider myself a Kennyfag, but I get called one because I point out things that make Kenny a better character than those in season 2. I like Kenny sure, but I only consider myself to be a Clementine or Leefag. I don't really care about anyone else in the series as much as I do those two.

Not that anon, but being called a Kennyfag comes with the implication that you support everything he does. It's basically synonymous with mindless fanboyism at this point.
When I think "Kennyfag", I think of those people that photoshop him in front of American flags and stuff as if he were some hero. I don't think that way, and I don't want to be labeled as such.

It's still a bit difficult for me, I've been trying to be more open. I thought 400 Days was okay.. I liked the interactions between people, some stories were weaker than others. I liked Eddie and Wyatt's brotherhood and the characterization of Nate. I thought Shel's and Bonnie's stories were weak and not particularly interesting, they tended to drag on too much. Sorry that I can't remember my exact choices in it, it's been a long while since I've played it. It's a shame their recent involvement was just one line cameo, it must have been disappointing for the voice actors too. What about you, what did you think of it?

I thought 400 Days was okay. Not bad, but certainly not as good as the rest of season 1. I thought Vince's story took forever the first time I played, but when I replayed it, it wasn't as long as I thought. I think Russell or Wyatt had the longest story, I'm not sure. I actually think that Shel's story might be my favorite because the relationship between Shel and Becca is similar to the relationship between Clementine and Lee. I think I would've preferred if the entire DLC was just about them.
