Maybe it's like Terminus. They didn't have enough room because they'd already met their "quota" for the day, but decided to take Clem and AJ because they're relatively small…

I really liked NoLegal's stuff and all of the Clem stuff, if only for the good quality 3D loli content.

>>26397

She really did, and her conflict with Kenny was so painfully contrived.

>>26399

I'd honestly agree that advising someone on S2 would be contingent on what happens in S3, or how much someone is willing to play S2 despite being far worse in comparison.

>>26421

See >>26422

If another company does this same format, but makes your decisions actually matter, Telltale is screwed.

Alpha Protocol did this, but it sold poorly and will not be getting an awesome sequel where you live with the consequences of your decisions.

>>26440

>>26441

There is a point in that the scene made players think "wow, I did the right thing and got fucked," which can happen in real life. If that was their angle, though, they did it very poorly. All they had to do was have Arvo's group jump out and attack them for their supplies. Motive? Just to take their shit, or get back at them for threatening Arvo. That would have made sense, but the writers didn't think so. The medicine decision was flat out pointless.

The ending decisions in S2 are really morally gray and it really comes down to player decision, and actually made up for all of the bullshit in the season by giving us radically different endings. I still don't forgive any assholes that saved Jane without realizing that she had done something with the baby and put it in danger just to prove a point.

>>26442

The fact that the medicine does absolutely nothing was really shameful. I didn't take the medicine at first because I thought back to Clementine and the Stranger, but come the fuck on, Telltale.

>>26460

The entire second season felt utterly pointless. The writers did not have the same focus as Season 1 and Breckon is a terrible writer and lacks the ability to direct others.

I think the only major thing I took away from Season 2 was that what you taught Clem as Lee and what Christa taught her as well (and I was fucking furious that we got a 2 year timeskip with nothing in between) made her into a proper survivor. From the get-go, I recognized that the new characters were the zombie apocalypse equivalent of spoiled children. At least with my Clem, I taught her not to be a victim, and she learned early on that settlements make you a huge target. There is a definite contrast similar to the comic: Rick and his group were vicious wanderers while the Alexandrians were softies living in comfort and did not understand how the world worked outside their walls. In MANY ways beyond knowledge of sex, Clementine really is more of an adult than the cabin group, and Christa doesn't get enough props for teaching Clementine how to survive on her own.

Settlements come and go with politics and war. The only reason Kirkman is switching over to settlements in the comics is because he ran out of ideas..

>>26506

Yes, I'll bet…

>>26507

Okay, despite the episode's length, it was still a good episode, and that allows me to look past it being shorter. I think the problem with season 2 of TWD, wasn't just shorter episode length, it's that they were shitty short episodes. This episode was 90 minutes, but it was good so I can accept it's length.

>>26508

>The ending decisions in S2 are really morally gray and it really comes down to player decision, and actually made up for all of the bullshit in the season by giving us radically different endings.

I would agree with this if they had handled the endings better. Like I said before they want you to make a decision in the heat of the moment instead of thinking about it rationally. As it is, I would've preferred if they had Clementine end up at Wellington no matter what, with the final choice deciding who you ended up at Wellington with. It would've maintained the status quo of season 2, and we would've been spared all these stupid Kenny vs. Jane fights.

>I still don't forgive any assholes that saved Jane without realizing that she had done something with the baby and put it in danger just to prove a point.

Even worse are the assholes who killed Kenny after he kills Jane. Fuck Telltale for even thinking of including that option.

>>26510

>implying Clemposting is bad

 No.26513

Hug…!!!!

 No.26514

>>26512

I think the S2 ending was good in my opinion because it at least gave us very different choices. 5 endings including variations is pretty nice. Thematically, you're more correct and would have brought the story full circle. I think the writers for S2 changed things around way too much in response to player feedback and predictions, and just generally lacked a main skeleton that they should have stuck to. Everything just felt jumbled and there was so much wasted potential. No hubs, barely any character development, pointless deaths, and contrived conflicts.

I don't know about you, but most of my decisions were made rationally. That's how I played my Lee, and is also the reason I thought him getting bitten was bullshit because I fucking KNEW that there could/would be a zombie under the garbage, and that's one of the things he would have tried to teach Clem. Be rational.

> Kenny x Jane conflict

So stupid. I didn't even think the Kenny-Luke relationship was realistic and it started to make Luke look like a weird pedophile who didn't want anyone butting into the leadership role. I wanted an option to shoot Jane and was angry that there was not.

>I don't know about you, but most of my decisions were made rationally.

Same. I had Kenny's survival spoiled for me before I played season 1, so I was kinda obligated to side with him in season 1, but I think I would've sided with him regardless because his ideas always made sense. There are very few decisions I made that I actually regret.

>it started to make Luke look like a weird pedophile

I sided with Lilly in my first playthrough and hated Kenny. Then I found out that CPR can't help someone who is suffering from cardiac arrest - it only sustains blood flow until a defibrillator unit can try to restart the heart, and even those don't work 100%. With that in mind, I re-did the game and generally did everything else the same except for the meat locker and Kenny was a total bro.

At least Kenny's reaction to it was "I needed your support in a fucked up situation." Lilly just starts accusing you of awful shit and treats you way worse than Kenny did for your decision.

>>26516

Because he's awkwardly attached to and protective of Clementine. I understand why Luke brought her with him to the bridge (Alvin is useless, Carlos is their doctor, Nick is mopey and in poor spirits), but Luke got really weird when Kenny came into the mix for no apparent reason.

 No.26526

>>26525

>Lilly just starts accusing you of awful shit and treats you way worse than Kenny did for your decision.

Not to mention Kenny is more of a friend to you than anyone else you can side with in season 1 if you have his back.

>Alvin is useless

Now that you mention it, I think it would've been better for Luke to take Alvin with him on the bridge. It would've avoided the problem of treating Clementine like an adult, and given us a mini-hub of sorts where we could get to know the cabin group briefly before Clem has to run over to the bridge to help Alvin and Luke.

 No.26527

That is exactly what I was hoping with the bridge. Sadly, we did not get that.

I assume that new character must be Vallory. I guess I shouldn't spoil myself too much. From the side, she kinda reminds me of Sarita. Am I crazy?

>>26508

>wow, I did the right thing and got fucked

Yeah, that's what I understood as their motive and I agree it was poorly executed.

>I didn't take the medicine at first

I took that shit because I thought Arvo was lying about his sister and was just some tweaker.

I was a little surprised that I was wrong, but the game doesn't really do a good job of bringing your attention to that detail.

>>26510

I agree with your first statement, but them's fightin' words.

>>26514

>also the reason I thought him getting bitten was bullshit

I'm glad you brought that up. I also thought that was bullshit the first time through, it seemed incredibly contrived. Especially the hat just lying around like that. I guess that's one thing that bothers me about S1.

I guess you could explain the hat lying there as Clem being clever enough to drop it, knowing Lee or someone would find it and know something was wrong.

>I wanted an option to shoot Jane

I really don't understand why it wasn't a 50/50 choice between shooting Kenny or Jane. It might be a little cliche, especially since it was so prevalent in S1, but since they went for a completely contrived conflict between them anyways, they might as well have gone all the way.

>>26519

We feel for you, douganon.

>>26526

>>26527

For a second I thought you two were discussing AJ, but then I realized he wasn't born yet and you were talking about the actual Alvin.

I guess that gives even more reason to do what you suggested, Alvin is clearly a forgettable character, and I'm evidence of that.

 No.26529

>>26528

I did not believe Arvo for a fucking minute, but he didn't look like a tweaker, and he was a literal cripple who managed to survive in the zombie apocalypse for ~2 years. Someone was looking out for him and I didn't want to piss them off, so I gave him the medicine back. I figured that, at that point in time, making enemies was not a good idea.

The whole bite sequence WAS stupid and contrived. After Lee jumped the fence and at first sight of the hat and radio, next to a convenient pile of trash, I literally paused the game and said "if this is a scene where Lee is supposed to get bitten, I am going to freak the fuck out." I didn't freak out as bad as I would have if I was alone and it wasn't, like, 2 AM. I figured there would be a zombie there and then I was right.

When the player is smarter than the character, and it's with really obvious shit like walkers being literally EVERYWHERE (if the fucking sewers didn't teach you anything), it's infuriating.

Alvin was the most useless character in the whole season and I sincerely did not care when he died in my playthrough. Honestly, if there was an option to negotiate with Carver to only get Sarita out and then get the fuck out, I would have done it. Once Carver shows up, I figured Clem would be safer without them.

Also, I keep my Clem love to myself and my lucid dreams and out of threads.

>I really don't understand why it wasn't a 50/50 choice between shooting Kenny or Jane

Because the developers really wanted you to side against Kenny at the end despite giving him the good endings. A design choice that baffles the fuck out of me, and I really wish the developers would give their reason for why they did it this way, in the hopes that they actually had a good reason for it, instead of just blatant character bias.

I may just be starting shit on a Tuesday night, but I wouldn't call them "good". "Better" maybe, but I'd call them "foreboding", especially the Stay at Wellington one (which I also think is an unintentionally cheap ending).

The Leave with Kenny is ominous to me because my own characterization of Kenny but that's another can of worms

 No.26533

You're either with some crazy bitch who literally abandoned a baby to start a fight with Kenny and "make a point" about how "psychotic" Kenny is after she said nothing about how babies were useless and should be left behind, or someone who has ALWAYS looked out for your well-being.

If you hated Kenny and wanted to go solo, fine, but I seriously cannot wrap my head around people who defend Jane.

It's one of the reasons the roleplay group is filled with plebs: they're all Janefags.

 No.26534

>>26532

Yeah, "better" might be a better (heh) word to use since Clem isn't exactly completely safe in any of the endings. On one hand, Kenny will always protect Clem & AJ no matter what, but it's a dangerous world out there, who knows what can happen to them? It might be safer for Clem in Wellington, but none of the people know her. They have no obligation to keep her safe, outside of perhaps her being a child.
