>Not even in a good way. Joffrey was hateable as fuck, but that was because he was a teenage shithead on top of being evil. He was insecure, cowardly and kind of stupid. I hate Ramsey because the writers have a very obvious hard-on for him. It's as if they turned his character in to a handsome, hyper-competent, nearly magical self-insert they use to punish characters they don't like.

>I misspoke. I meant to say that we don't get them in other TTG all that often anymore. At least not any long, character revealing ones. GoT, TWAU, TWD S2 and TWD 400 days were all very lacking in that department.

Yeah, I miss that from TWD S1. I don't see why they changed. People liked S1 of TWD best. There were (rudimentary) puzzles in that, and the extra dialogue was great. And it still left room for your set-pieces.

>Do you think he used his twenty good men to make the Glenmores, their elite soldiers, small folk soldiers, small folk in general and Duncan/Royland disappear without a trace, or did he just take his shirt off to do it?

If Ramsay has his 20 GOOD MEN the main cast is well a truly fucked.

I get the feeling the whole Vasquez thing was a production issue. It's Patrick Warburton who does a lot of live action and voice work so it may have been planned from the very beginning that he was going to be a guest star.

I just don't care much for August. (He probably stayed on because Nolan North was onboard to do voice work) but all his character amounts to is "WAAH! SASHA DUMPED ME!"

I agree that August is a bit underdeveloped, but I suppose he really hasn't had much time to, either. As Fiona puts it, he was just a mark. Even then, it would've been nice if he played a more important role, being Vallory's son and all. As it stands, he's really no different from her other grunts in Ep3, except that he talks.

>>26825

I'd say 3 > 2 > 1

>>26826

>>26827

Why do you guys think Ep1 is better than 2?

 No.26829

>>26828

Not ether of the anons you're replying to, but I can't really explain why I like episode one more than two. I guess episode 2 could be considered to be better since has a few choices that actually change something and the type hubs that we haven't seen in a telltale game in a long time. I guess I just find the first episode to be more exciting overall.

> Michonne is Kirkman's favorite

That explains why she is so fucking terrible in the series. I think that is Kirkman's big problem: he is so used to cape comics that he can't keep things realistic for very long.

>>26807

I think Patrick Warburton being a busy guy limited Vasquez's role in the series. He is a very popular voice actor and does a lot of work, so they probably couldn't keep him around/continue to pay him for the whole series. He was likely more of a guest star like Madsen was in TWD S2.

I'm also glad that people seemed to have such different outcomes if they trusted/distrusted Jack. You're definitely right about the hubs, though. I think the problem is that most people don't seem to appreciate them and Telltale has to cater to its larger demographic with a shorter attention span. It also means faster and cheaper production.

Also, how is the Sasha romance different? I hope it's not decided on that stupid flower because I knew picking that thing was dangerous from a mile away. KIND OF HOW I KNEW A FUCKING ZOMBIE WAS BEHIND THAT PLYWOOD.

>>26813

I think the issue is they are trying to appeal to a different demographic that wants more action. The dialogue is what really developed the characters, their relationships with each other, and the way characters viewed them. The biggest issue with gaming these days is the writing generally sucks and the writers don't know how to make something really compelling. Then again, even in TV and movies, that is lacking, again for the aforementioned reason that people tend not to adore dialogue-heavy media.

>>26830

>That explains why she is so fucking terrible in the series. I think that is Kirkman's big problem: he is so used to cape comics that he can't keep things realistic for very long.

Yup. I think just after the prison arc is where Kirkman went from being realistic to being a cape-comic maker. You go from having grim fights, terrifying zombie encounters, and dark themes to having pirate ninjas, kung-fu masters, unkillable heroes, and pathetic zombies.

Every time Michonne makes an appearance he dotes on her. The TTG reveal is especially guilty of that, where he blatantly said Michonne best represents everything the TWD franchise is about. Canon Mary Sue at its fucking worst.

>I think Patrick Warburton being a busy guy limited Vasquez's role in the series.

Yeah, that's definitely a big factor. Not just with Vasquez, but with the general episode scheduling. You've got some very big-name voice actors, with Troy Baker and Patrick Warburton easily being the biggest. I imagine it's very difficult to work around both their schedules.

 No.26833

>>26832

I wouldn't be surprised if v/a scheduling is part of the long periods between episodes. Laura Bailey isn't reprising her role in the new Persona 4 game because of scheduling.

Read the books instead. Apparently the show's writers are fucking imbeciles and have ruined it completely. Supposedly Ramsay is pretty fucking useless and is just ugly and insane in the books, but is some kind of handsome hunky man-god in the show.

You guys raise an interesting point about voice actor schedules. That could be one of the reasons why the episodes took so long. I thought the Chris Hardwick doing The Talking Dead could've been a reason why episode two took so long, but I never even considered that Patrick Warburton might've been a bigger problem. Maybe now that his character is out of the picture the episodes will come faster.

Also, I'm making a new thread right now. I'm sorry for the delay.
