I never liked Kenny, so that helped my decision. Going alone seemed like a bad idea, so I stuck with Jane (for the time being).
And yeah he looked out for me, but his irrationality was starting to bug me more than usual. But besides that, the Kenny endings have too many "unknown" factors that don't sit right with me
>>26534
I said this before, but I'm damn sure Wellington is like the Governor's place. I'm so sure of it.
No.26538
No.26539
>>26537
Even if you didn't like Kenny, Jane was such an insufferable cunt that I can't imagine being any safe for her. Besides, Kenny ended up being right about most things, even if he was brash. He was the only one interested in trying to escape the truck (they wouldn't get shot at if they jumped while it was moving and made a run for it before anyone realized), he was right about Arvo being a cunt, he was right about Wellington, and he fixed the fucking truck that Arvo, Mike, and Bonnie then stole - along with all of their supplies, condemning two children to death.
It was so ridiculous how the writers tried making Kenny into some irrational person when all he really had was an anger issue. Meanwhile, Alvin was a cuckold, Rebecca was a mean cunt, Luke couldn't tolerate not being the leader, Nick was feckless, and Jane was so selfish to the point of letting her own sister die.
If she let her own SISTER get the chomp, you think she's going to treat Clem any better after knowing her for a week? Get real.
No.26541
Aw, darn. I screwed up my saves making webms a while ago, and now I have to finish the second half of Ep2 again.
Not sure if I should keep my initial decisions to see what I would've ended up with, or change them.

Dude, first off, chill. It's just a game. It has little to no bearing on real life whatsoever. They are fictional characters in a fictional world. Furthermore,
>(they wouldn't get shot at if they jumped while it was moving and made a run for it before anyone realized)
Correct if I'm wrong but I remember him going on about punching the first dude, and someone asks him about the presence of the guns and Kenny replies with saying he'll ounch that dude too. And I believe he was about to go through with it when the truck was already stopped.
Kenny IS irrational and he had an anger issue. Personally I was tired of him from S1. But hey, whatever. If I had to choose a preferable ending it would be Leave with Kenny, makes much more sense storywise to me.
>If she let her own SISTER get the chomp
Ok but her sister was done running. From what we've been told we can infer that Jaime wanted to die. It's up to us as the players to decide if Jane was wrong, and honestly I can't fault her too much. If Jaime wanted to die of her own volition, let her die.

In the Atlas Biodome main hub there was a customizer machine. Personally, I bought Rhys a new red robot arm (because red means it's faster) and got Fiona the outfit that gets rid of the stupid hat. I didn't have the money for a new paint job for the brobot, I didn't like the new glasses choice for Vaughn and the goggles would've hidden Sasha's adorable eyes.

No, not after he started going nuts at the start of the episode. Him acting like a douchebag while controlling Rhys wasn't helping his image either.

That's exactly what I did. I don't dislike her, I think I just don't want romance between any of the main four. And so much of her content in this episode was pushing towards romance. Her part with August in the car was great though.

This occurs during the Pre-Sequel but was never explained how she was captured until now

So, you guys know Vaughn will be almost completely psycho next time we see him right?
The foreshadowing is really clear.
Vallory calling him a little psycho,
him being weirdly buff, hell, the entire desert sequence.
As I played through all the borderlands there was also a backstory thing that said some sort some sort of weird-ass vault radiation made so many people into psycho's and also created the disproportionate midget population.
Pandora just has this kind of effect on people through magic space radiation.

Any theories on what the next episode's title card might tell us? We know we have to get to Helios, but the episode is titled Escape Plan Bravo, so maybe that will only take one episode and the final episode will take place elsewhere. Probably at the vault, or where the vault is supposed to be.

>PSA: the GoT season pass is on sale this weekend for $12.50 (50% off) on the NA PSN (both PS3 and PS4 versions)
I was kind of middling on the first episode but I think I'll grab it at that price. I've been meaning to get into GoT for a while now anyway. Hopefully my library will get their season one blu-rays back in soon.
Weird that they made the first episode free but didn't change the season pass' price. Without this sale, it's $25 for the season pass. But the first episode is still free, so to buy the remaining five episodes piecemeal would be $25 too; the $5 discount that was originally in place for buying the season pass is gone.
Also weird that the consoles get a discount for buying every episode up-front through the season pass but PC seemingly does not. Looking at Steam, it's $30 to get all six episodes. Meanwhile, the LiS season pass discount that consoles have is mirrored in Steam's pricing…

I've heard some people say he still does, but if you didn't trust him at the end of Episode 2 he's a lot more cruel about it. The sleeve pistol would make sense for normal Fiona business, conning people. It does not work against recurring villains, as we saw with Finch and the other guy. It also makes very little sense to use in combat.
Also, what exactly did Athena do to the sleeve gun? She said Felix was holding her back or something, and then removed the elemental thing, or what? I didn't really pay attention and wasn't very clear on that bit.
I just want Rhys' awesome silver arm that he has when talking to the masked captor.

They mention that it could have copped out by having the male and female player characters be love interests, but didn't. In fact, they're not on the best terms. I honestly think that Rhys and Fiona having a romance makes no sense considering that they give each other shit every time the story turns to them explaining everything to the Stranger - unless it's all a ruse on their part that builds up depending on how you play the characters.
Although, I do really love how Telltale is utilizing the theme of the Stranger in their stories.

Oh, I see. There was no indication that the new barrel was capable of elemental effects, which only confused me even more when you were still able to use elemental effects.
I'm of the opinion that Telltale games should be a little harsher on failing things. For example, if you shoot the wrong elemental effect at the turret outside, you can just keep trying. I think it would be better if it just shredded Fiona into bits and you got a game over and had to retry. Like, "that's what you get for shooting the wrong thing, idiot."

Look it's fine to not want it to go there, but that particular reasoning not only makes no sense, but has been done plenty of times before. It's called belligerent sexual tension. It's what makes the Japanese obsessed with tsunderes. And if you're wondering where the "tension" comes in for them, the best I can point point you to is the opening of Episode 2, where they're sleeping on each others' shoulder and have a brief awkward moment afterwards.
Their relationship is characterized by sarcastic sniping, occasionally peppered with the occasional endearing moment showing a growing relationship (either romantic or platonic) between the two of them. This is pretty typical, and is used in romances plenty. Not saying it's going to happen, just saying it would not weird or even uncommon at all if they went there.

Shay and Vella barely interact. The game ends before they really even get to talk to each other. The epilogue slides show them hanging out together. I'd say the status of their relationship is ambiguous. Especially since it's all but implied the male kid, in this case Shay, picks out girls based on his newly awakened hormones, and Vella was the one he subconsciously liked the best. It's implied this is how the evil alien society picks the best girls for breeding.

Maybe Sasha hates his guts at that point too. I somehow doubt whatever Rhys does to piss off Fiona somehow would leave Sasha feeling any better about it. So that point is stupid.
As for not liking each other. Romantically, you're right. Haven't been many hints beside what I said. Generally starting to like the other as a person, they've had several of those moments. This makes sense to me, but I don't think a Borderlands game is any place for serious drama about romantic relationships and all that. I think the thing with Sasha and Rhys was partly there to play on the beauty of the environment and allow the player to take control of a super sappy (or super awkward) scene for fun. It would be a little offputting for any serious time to be further put into drama like that, they've got way bigger things to worry about than the intricacies of their relationship.
I guess what I'm saying is that it would be dumb for Rhys to suddenly develop a deeper relationship with Fiona because 1) you'd have to resolve things with Sasha which would be weird and 2) I'm not watching a soap opera. I don't think it would fit.

I didn't care much for this episode at all. From the small navigation hubs, to the cut down lack of choices, to the forced romance and mainly to the changes of pacing, I'm not liking where this series is going.
For example, I did not care for how Vasquez was written out. The reason why was Vasquez was the perfect villain and adversary for Rhys, a superior image of masculinity to Rhys' wimpiness. Seeing him as one of the first images as his reactions is key to understanding Rhys' motivations as you want to hurt Vasquez. It was personal, specific and relateable. Vallory, on the other hand, feels generic and impersonal. She feels like she could have been a villain to anybody rather than just Fiona and Sasha. I would be much more accepting of her if she were introduced earlier.
Way worse, I hated they betrayed Fiona's gameplay mechanic. Her whole premise as a character was that she was never a Vault Hunter and and to talk her way out of shit instead of fighting it, as well as be resourceful with her supplies as well as her elemental burnout. Instead, Athena hands her an assload of bullets so Fiona and shoot at anything with no problem and fixes the burnout. Athena then trains her then and there and Fiona leanrs to fucking dodge sniper shots and swing on vines. Remember in the 1st episode where the game tricked you into thinking the money was in the empty loot box and instead you had to look for alternate methods to finding cash. Nope. You find more money in the loot boxes.
tl;dr: 0/10. Apply yourself, Telltale.

I don't mind comic characters showing up in the games (they already have anyway in S1) but I seriously hope they never have any significant clout in the story. I don't want Kirkman in anyway influencing the direction of the series. I kind of agree with you, and yet I don't mind these things too much. Especially the Fiona bit, I feel like that's the part of her character development, also, probably a way to balance her out with Rhys and his hacking/scanning thing. I'm sure Fiona will have more opportunities to be a fast talking con in a future, less action-packed episode. Loot boxes are clearly just a reference to the original series.
With the Vasquez/Vallory thing, I agree completely, but I can't help feeling there was more behind it. Like Vasquez's actor quitting or something. They were clearly trying to hype out Vallory for a while now, but there's no reason why Vasquez couldn't tag along with her and be Rhys' villain.
Apart from the fun writing, character dynamic and action, what I appreciate about this episode is that there actually is a replay value. This time choices mattered, at least as much as they can in a TTG. Who you trusted in episode 2 affects a lot. The whole intro sequence is different, what happens to Vaughn and the dialogue relating to it is different, the outcome of Sasha romance is also heavily tied to it, and you get a bonus choice from trusting Jack, which can lead to funny, though admittedly minor consequences in the form of Jack-o-pedia.
So while it is imperfect, I'd argue it's one of the better episodes telltale has ever written in general. I do miss the big hubs, but at least there were longer optional conversations again. Haven't seen those in a while.

Not even in a good way. Joffrey was hateable as fuck, but that was because he was a teenage shithead on top of being evil. He was insecure, cowardly and kind of stupid. Yeah, I miss that from TWD S1. I don't see why they changed. People liked S1 of TWD best. There were (rudimentary) puzzles in that, and the extra dialogue was great. And it still left room for your set-pieces.

> Michonne is Kirkman's favorite
That explains why she is so fucking terrible in the series. I think that is Kirkman's big problem: he is so used to cape comics that he can't keep things realistic for very long.
>>26807
I think Patrick Warburton being a busy guy limited Vasquez's role in the series. He is a very popular voice actor and does a lot of work, so they probably couldn't keep him around/continue to pay him for the whole series. He was likely more of a guest star like Madsen was in TWD S2.
I'm also glad that people seemed to have such different outcomes if they trusted/distrusted Jack. You're definitely right about the hubs, though. I think the problem is that most people don't seem to appreciate them and Telltale has to cater to its larger demographic with a shorter attention span. It also means faster and cheaper production.
Also, how is the Sasha romance different? I hope it's not decided on that stupid flower because I knew picking that thing was dangerous from a mile away. KIND OF HOW I KNEW A FUCKING ZOMBIE WAS BEHIND THAT PLYWOOD.
>>26813
I think the issue is they are trying to appeal to a different demographic that wants more action. The dialogue is what really developed the characters, their relationships with each other, and the way characters viewed them. The biggest issue with gaming these days is the writing generally sucks and the writers don't know how to make something really compelling. Then again, even in TV and movies, that is lacking, again for the aforementioned reason that people tend not to adore dialogue-heavy media.

>That explains why she is so fucking terrible in the series. I think that is Kirkman's big problem: he is so used to cape comics that he can't keep things realistic for very long.
Yup. I think just after the prison arc is where Kirkman went from being realistic to being a cape-comic maker. You go from having grim fights, terrifying zombie encounters, and dark themes to having pirate ninjas, kung-fu masters, unkillable heroes, and pathetic zombies.
Every time Michonne makes an appearance he dotes on her. The TTG reveal is especially guilty of that, where he blatantly said Michonne best represents everything the TWD franchise is about. Canon Mary Sue at its fucking worst.
>I think Patrick Warburton being a busy guy limited Vasquez's role in the series.
Yeah, that's definitely a big factor. Not just with Vasquez, but with the general episode scheduling. You've got some very big-name voice actors, with Troy Baker and Patrick Warburton easily being the biggest. I imagine it's very difficult to work around both their schedules.
