Okay, the remaster is being released on current-gen consoles to mark the first movie's 30-anniversary which makes a little more sense. They're a few months late though…

I guess that makes sense, but yeah, they're pretty late as usual.

We already watched all the BttF movies and everything!

How exactly is the remaster any different? Just available on current gen? Or did they actually clean some things up?

Regardless, I should play BttF. I bought it a while back and everything.

They brought some of the actors from the movies to do their respective character's dialogue, probably in part to push the game as 'Part 4' in the BttF series. Don't know much beyond that.

Get motivated man, learn to model and use this pic as inspiration. All you'd need to do is find a nude body to attach the head to and there are plenty of those around

>some of the actors from the movies

Oh, I thought they were talking about the original game when they said that.

That's kind of cool, I guess. I wonder why Michael J Fox couldn't do young Marty, I guess his voice has changed too much for that.

I'll admit, I was thinking about taking up drawing just to make adult Clem smut myself. Well, other non-lewd stuff too.

I'm not sure where I'd start, I have zero knowledge of 3d modeling. Any tutorials or programs you'd recommend?

> I wonder why Michael J Fox couldn't do young Marty, I guess his voice has changed too much for that.

Not that they'd need to, the guy they got to play young Marty sounds uncannily like him.

Fox does show up as an older Marty though.

 No.28674

>>28673

>Any tutorials or programs you'd recommend?

I'm not really the guy to ask for this. I use FragMOTION for modeling, but that's only because I had it lying around from other stuff. It's poorly supported, exports Valve models wrong (you have to use an intermediary otherwise vertex weights are set incorrectly), and is pretty difficult to do sculpting in. It is good at manual manipulation at the vertex level, which is useful to some degree.

Blender isn't too bad, I started learning how to use that. But the program is complex and feature-rich, so it might take a while to understand the bits of the program you actually need. You'd probably be working off of existing models like I did initially. It's actually creating something from scratch that is exceedingly difficult. Like they say, don't reinvent the wheel.

As for tutorials, I just sort of taught myself. I have a background in 3d graphics so that helped on a technical level. I'm not very good at the creative level.

I'd say if you're more interested in drawing, you should pursue that. However, that takes some doing too. One idea I've toyed with is using 3d tools to rough out a scene, and then use it as a reference for a drawing. There, you could take a few liberties but still have the advantage of people having the right form, lighting and shading being roughed out for you, etc.

I'll check out Blender. Thanks for the advice and recommendation.

>>28675

>You draw right?

Not really. I can only really work off of a reference. I would be completely lost if I were to try making something original.

>Have any advice?

That being said, my advice is to really focus on form. There are definite, known proportions for faces and body parts; you'd do well to familiarize yourself with these. That's what I'm lacking and why I use references.

Getting that down would probably be the biggest step towards producing really good art.

>>28676

>tfw

She can always be an astronaut in her imagination.

I imagine ZA survivors would use their imaginations quite a lot. The ZA is quite restrictive:

>can't make too much noise

>can't go out alone

>can't trust strangers

So the next best thing is to play pretend.

>I imagine ZA survivors would use their imaginations quite a lot.

The ZA would be pretty dull when it isn't terrifying, wouldn't it? Not much to do except talk, read, write, draw, fuck, daydream, etc. That'd probably be more of an issue for small wandering groups though. There would be plenty more opportunities to busy oneself with in a growing settlement I'd imagine.

New-ish trailer for the TWD season premiere btw.

>fuck

How common do you think that would be, anyways? Would it be seen as a more casual act, done to pass time? When the dead are walking and eating people's flesh, it's a little more difficult for things stay taboo. In fact, I see the divisive issue being more about what the "result" of bearing a child might be instead of the act itself. Some characters seem to believe having a child is a death sentence, whereas others believe it ensures the future of mankind. It follows that certain communities might implement policies that follow these lines of thinking, too…

Am I reading too much into this?

>trailer

Looks okayish. Rick looks like Chucky with all of those bandages though.

>>28679

I'd like to see anything you produce, even if it's quite rudimentary.

>>28680

I've wondered this too. On the one hand, you can make it cater specifically to your own tastes, but on the other you're aware of all of the tiny little imperfections.

Even if it isn't porn, you have that issue. There's really no other way around it other than to just get used to it. Yeah, your art isn't perfect, it'll never be, but it's good enough and others really seem to appreciate it.

>>28681

>How common do you think that would be, anyways?

Very. When you have all the time in the world and nothing to do sex and masturbation are cheap, accessible, and highly pleasurable ways to pass that time. Of course people in the ZA wouldn't have anywhere as an easy access to birth control like we do, but that's never been an issue for humans. They'd just rely on the old pull-out method and non-penetrative forms of sex like like most of our ancestors have during most of our species' existence.

>In fact, I see the divisive issue being more about what the "result" of bearing a child might be instead of the act itself. Some characters seem to believe having a child is a death sentence, whereas others believe it ensures the future of mankind.

I think it comes down to whether a group of people think they're in a position where they can safely raise a baby from or not. Either way it's only smart to ensure your own group's future by having babies who'll grow up into young, capable survivors who can take are of you when you've gotten old.

>It follows that certain communities might implement policies that follow these lines of thinking, too…

Like what? Literal birth control? Incentives to encourage women to have babies?

>I'd like to see anything you produce, even if it's quite rudimentary.

Not a drawing but I've been following a tutorial on using Blender and getting started on 3D modeling. Nothing very complicated so far.

So I guess, if someone really wanted to, they could buy Minecraft on Steam for 10% off.

>>28682

>it's only smart to ensure your own group's future by having babies who'll grow up into young, capable survivors who can take care of you when you've gotten old.

Not even limited to that, it's possible that survivors could become, for lack of a better term, "farmer families" when dealing with children. The logic would be that more children = more helping hands. Children of survivors are A) not walkers and B) incredibly loyal. Those seem like very tempting options.

Then again, I think only the comics have advanced far enough where children have grown up to the point that they're useful. Maybe Kirkman has plans for this.

>Like what? Literal birth control? Incentives to encourage women to have babies?

Yes, either heavily encouraging procreation, or actively discouraging it, depending on the situation. It is the ZA, but would some sort of "breeding" program in one of the bigger camps be seen as exploitative or something? Or would the group think of those places be so strong that it could gain traction? At what point do people draw the line?

>pic

Hey, that's a pretty good start anon. One thing I really don't like about Blender is its UI. It's a cross-platform program so it lacks the rigidity of a native application's UI. But I suppose nearly all 3D modeling programs are like that.

Anyways, I'd say the real "art" part comes when you can start sculpting things. If you want to start putting your things into Source or any other engine, the next step would probably be UV mapping. From there, you can start layering more and more advanced techniques and see them shine.

May I ask what tutorial you're using?

Continuing the theme of pretending anyone here cares about it, here's the new trailer for episode one of Minecraft.

>It is the ZA, but would some sort of "breeding" program in one of the bigger camps be seen as exploitative or something? Or would the group think of those places be so strong that it could gain traction? At what point do people draw the line?

By "breeding program" do you mean forced breeding? I really doubt it, even if the community involved has a large population of "true believers". Historically these sort of cult societies have a breaking point where the people living in them, skeptics, the undecided, and believers alike, can only take so much bullshit before they crack under it all, especially if it harms them and their loved ones. Not to say some crazy policies can't be passed if the people in charge are both insane and powerful enough to do so, but a breeding program seems like the kind of thing that would spark a civil war.

>Anyways, I'd say the real "art" part comes when you can start sculpting things.

That's what I'm eager to get to. When would you say is the "right time" for me to start doing that? One of my goals is to start sculpting S2 Clem's head to look like older Clem.

>May I ask what tutorial you're using?

I'm using this youtube tutorial. So far it's more of an introduction to Blender and what tools and features would be useful for a beginner like me than a pure tutorial on 3D modeling. There's likely better tutorials but it feels like it's been useful for showing me how to use a modeling program.

Kenny's a good bet, as well as young Clem to go with the Lee figure. Gotta milk that S1 nostalgia for all it's worth. Jane will probably be made one if Kenny gets his own figure.
