>Instead of Duck getting bitten during the raid at the motor inn, Clementine gets shot
>Katjaa tries to save her life, but it looks hopeless, and she will die
>Lee, unable to cope with the loss of Clementine starts hallucinating, and the vision of a man in a black and red suit appears before him
>The man tell him that he can prevent Clementine from dying to her gunshot wound, but at a price
>After showing him an alternate reality where Lee and his wife never met, the man tells Lee that he wants Lee and his wife's marriage
>Lee, desperate to save Clementine's life, agrees to the deal
>What Lee doesn't realize however, is that without him and his wife getting married, he never killed the senator and thus, was not on his way to jail on the day the zombie apocalypse happened
>Clementine does not die of the gunshot wound, but of starvation, while hiding from zombies in her tree house

Is webmanon here?

Here you go. This recording is back from when I had a 16:10 monitor so it's got black bars. I tried cropping them out but ffmpeg is wonky when you try to both scale and crop at the same time.

>>5527I'm still wondering how they'll deal with the multiple endings in S3. Another timeskip would be a pretty big cop-out.
Hopefully ttg will have enough time and resources to actually "lie in the bed they made" so to speak. Even if it was just one or two episodes they used to consolidate the various endings into one storyline, I think it would be worth the effort.
No.5532
>>5531>Another timeskip would be a pretty big cop-out.This is what's going to happen, I'm sorry to say.
No.5533
>>5531I could see something happening like they actually make a different story for all the endings, as well as subtle changes depending on how you got that ending. They'll probably find a way to give the player the same choices regardless of what story you're playing though.
No.5534
>>5532Yeah, unfortunately that seems pretty likely.
How would you even "merge" the two Wellington endings? Leaving and staying are mutually exclusive, and outside of Kenny and Clem getting in later or Wellington going to shit, I don't see how. Add into that the possible Howe's endings and you've got quite a big hurdle.
No.5535
Shit, time for me to go. I'll see what few people we have left here tomorrow.
No.5536
>>5535See ya.
Can't really predict when /ttgg/ will be active, though.
Also, the show airs tonight so maybe people who watch that will get in here later.
No.5537
I'd actually rather they railroad all the endings into a single story as soon as possible. Nothing good is going to come out of making three different games at the same time. They should basically do what they did with the first season: a single solid plotline focusing on the MC's character development and everything converges into a single meaningful ending. Telltale shot themselves in the foot having S2 have multiple endings and it's a big part the reason this season felt so unfocused.
No.5539
>>5537Did TTG confirm Clem was going to be the PC in S3? I know they've said she's in S3, but not sure about the PC. If that was the case, you could meet Clem halfway through and that might work.
Maybe TTG will do something different and actually have multiple PCs? No.5540
>>5539I'd like to play as
Jane.That'd be pretty fun.
No.5544
>>5539They did say S3 was going feature a "new angle" from the story, or so the wiki says.
As for multiple PCs, I'd really rather they not. The moment you begin to multiply anything in a story (multiple plotlines, multiple MCs, multiple endings) you not only increase the risk of screwing something up, the story becomes inherently more unfocused. Not that multiple MC would automatically ruin a story, but a good story focusing a single protagonist is always going to be more effective.
>>5540Maybe in a DLC episode, but not a whole season, god no.
No.5545
>>5544Yeah, it's really a mystery how they'll deal with the endings.
I've said this before on halfchan, but I really hope they go for a different overall story than "meet group, things go to shit and people die". There's a lot more lore from the comics they could work with. Even something as simple as building up an actual community, farming, herd dynamics, etc. would be pretty interesting to see. They ALMOST got there with Howe's but that got fucked in less than one episode…
No.5546
>>5545>meet group, things go to shit and people dieThey could switch it up in S3 by replacing this plot structure with
>meet group, things go to shit, some die, but a core of characters survive to the endBasically a core cast to follow the protagonist (who I'm assuming is till Clementine) over multiple seasons. That way they can develop these characters in depth while keeping the player on edge as when they might die, and when some do die, it'll be that much more impactful. I also really like the idea Of Clem building, and eventually leading, a community.

I'm working on the new thread but it might take a while.
