No Lee threads? Lee is forgotten? That's cool….guess I'll take my feels elsewhere…

Lee will always live in Clem and Kenny's heart.

 No.764

One of the reasons I disliked this season was that it felt like Luke, Jane, and Kenny were all trying to fill Lee's shoes, which is a fine device in fiction. But, to me, you can't replace this guy.

We all miss Lee, OP. Sometimes it's easier to try to forget than to face reality.

>being surprised when likable characters die in TWD
Either way, I feel that feel

Oh my god I remember how I felt after Lee was bitten. It was the fucking worst. It was like I was dying.

Yeah. My reaction was pretty much the same as Clem's when he told her.

I was severely disappointed with all of the characters in Season 2. The only characters that I really cared about or even felt were rounded were Clem, Kenny, and the brief time we had with Christa and that was only because they had Season 1 to back them up.

With the Season 2 cast, it feels like the writers didn't really try to flesh them out. I understand that it's important to leave some stuff ambiguous as a thematic choice - sometimes we just don't ever find something out in reality - but they got really lazy with it.

I'm certain this was the result of the removal of hubs and restriction of episode length.

It improved the pacing of each episode, but at the cost of time and additional hub dialogue that would normally be devoted to fleshing out characters. There was no pharmacy, motor inn, barn or train scene where you could chill out with your fellow survivors at your own pace.

It was a terrible feeling. It took a minute for it to really set in, that he was bitten and there was no going back at that point. Then my heart suddenly sank out of my chest.

Why the fuck did he have to die?

One way I like to look at it is that he already was dead before the apocalypse ever happened. He was about to serve life in prison for murdering someone, and most likely die in there eventually. A miserable fate I'm sure.

The apocalypse gave him a chance to redeem himself. He saved Clementine and eventually gave his life for her. As great of a guy as he was for saving her at all, I think the fact that he sacrificed himself for Clem in the end is what cemented the fact he would die a hero.

And in spite of all of the bad things she's had to endure, I have no doubt that before AJ came along, that was a motivation to keep Clem going. At times, she very well could have been the only person in the world still alive who knew Lee existed. Her existence is keeping his memory alive.

Depending on what happens to Christa and Kenny, she'll probably be the last living person who knows Lee's story and how it ended.

it was perfect really. after all that hardship it took one second of distraction and it's all over. made me tear up because ofcorse it had to be that way, he's as vulnerable as everyone else.

Is there any chance they will retcon his death? I don't care if the reason they give us is the biggest load of bullshit ever, I just want Lee back ;_;

Unless they pull some "it was all dream" shite, I don't think it would have any positive contribution.

I wanted to believe it was real. I knew in my heart it wasn't.
