Maybe, but ether way, I can't see myself caring about a little boy the same way I would a little girl.

I hope we don't get 8 year old AJ next. Mainly cause that means having to wait longer, since games can't jump the timeline in the comics.

I really don't know how to answer that anon.

…you feel more inclined to take care of little girls than little boys?

 No.8180

>>8173
Really? How would your caring for 8 year old AJ contrast with your caring of S1 Clem?

>>8176
It could also mean the games break with the comics' canon and skip ahead anyway. Unlikely, I know, but I I'd actually like that since I don't care for the comics.

I can't really give any specific reasons/explanations for it. It's pretty much what >>8179 said.

I guess paternal instincts are stronger when it's a little girl? That does make me wonder: femanons, would your maternal instincts be stronger taking care of a little boy then a little girl?

If it's a little kid in need of protection I don't give a shit about gender to be honest.

This would be it I guess. But again, I don't know how to explain specifically why.

Same. But if the child is female, I have stronger parental instincts.

That's why they're called instincts. You can't really rationalize them, they just are.

How so?

Guess I should have elaborated slightly, but I have both a younger brother and sister. It's different for everyone I suppose but I have taken care of them both equal enough that I feel like when it comes to other children I can't really hold gender as a factor.

Let me ask this then: would it feel different playing a woman taking care of a little boy (adult Clem fostering AJ) than playing as a man taking care of a little girl (Lee fostering Clem)? This question is also male anons.

 No.8196

>>8193
Male anon here, playing as a woman who takes care of a little boy makes it a bit different, but I am still a guy so I still wouldn't feel as inclined to take care of him, despite my character being female.

 No.8197

>>8196
It shouldn't make much of a difference unless you prefered a gender over the other, which I can't really understand. They're KIDS, gender shouldn't matter at all.

 No.8198

>>8193
I think it would slightly be different, just because of how they might write the story. Boy characters tend to be more independent, and I have rarely seen that situation in fictional media. However, if TellTale had managed to make the story an exact parallel to Lee and Clementine then I feel like I would be trying to protect the little boy just as much.

 No.8199

>>8197
>They're KIDS, gender shouldn't matter at all.
I know. I'm not saying I wouldn't care about a boy if I had to look after one, just that I would care about a girl more.

Do you think Telltale will make the dynamic between adult Clem and AJ different than the dynamic between Lee and Clem? I know it's somewhat determinant, but the available options and interactions could potentially be quite different between the two.

 No.8202

>>8201
I think Clementine feels very protective of Alvin at this point, so her "maternal" feelings will only grow stronger as she gets older with him. It can be something beautiful and cute, maybe even more than Lee and Clem's relationship.

Yeah, Lee and Clem knew each for three months but in that short amount of time grew a strong bond. Imagine how close Clem will be with AJ after essentially raising him from birth.

 No.8211

How do you think Kenny/Jane would be with AJ?

 No.8212

>>8208
I really doubt that, partly because Jane and Kenny will be dead by that time mainly because it makes more sense from a gameplay perspective to have that determined to an extant by Clem's/the player's interactions with AJ, not by some single decision made in a previous season. That would be awful.

 No.8213

>>8211
I think Kenny would be a bit better then he was with Duck, more protective but also he would be there with him like he wanted to be for his family.
For Jane, it depends. She would probably be easily annoyed by AJ during his younger years, but she may like him if he's independent like Clem or think of him as a liability like Jamie or Sarah was.

 No.8214

>>8211
I think we already know the answer to that anon, based on the affection Kenny shows for AJ, and the otherwise non-affection Jane shows for AJ.

 No.8215

>>8205
It may sound weird, but it takes practice. I used to train myself to lucid dream, so that probably helps.

 No.8216

>>8211
Kenny has already decided to take on a fatherly role in AJ's life, though it remains to be seen how well he accomplishes that or how an older AJ will perceive Kenny assuming he's still alive.
I don't think Jane cares much about AJ and only decided to help watch over him because Clem clearly cares for him. I don't think she's heartless, but I could see her choosing Clem's life over AJ's and then try to justify to Clem (and herself) why she did what did. As for when AJ grows up, it's harder to say what Jane will think of him then assuming she's still aive.

 No.8217

>>8215
I actually read about lucid dreaming just so I could try to lucid dream about Clementine. I didn't really stay committed to my "training" though.

 No.8218

>>8216
I like how Kenny acknowledges the importance of Alvin and Rebecca. He knows he's not AJ's dad, but he already loves him as a son. s-so cute!!
