It's time, /ttgg/.
You know what to do.

This honestly was probably the hardest decision I had to make the entire game. Choosing between doing what Kenny wanted, and ensuring Clem and AJ finally have a place where they can be safe, or sticking with Kenny and trying to find some place where all of them can be safe together.
No.827
>>825I would've stayed in Wellington if the situation had been helpless. But they managed to survive for nine days and they can try again in a few months. Not everything is lost. Besides, I doubt Clementine will ever find someone like Kenny again and vice versa. They know about their past, they can relate and bond over that, thing they can't do with any other person because tehy didn't know Lee, or Katjaa and Duck. They didn't experience their loss.
Also, they adore AJ. They gotta find common ground on that, and I think they did, since you can tell they grew very fond of each other the days they were together. I won't let THAT go. I can't do that to Clem or to myself ;-;.
No.829
>>828There's literally no good reason to do that unless you dislike the guy and wanted to kill him for a long time. I can get behind that, as shitty as it might be BUT only that.
I mean, Jane tried to kill him as well, what the fuck. She wasn't a defenseless girl, she had attacked Kenny and injured him pretty badly. She wanted a fight and died because of it, what a stupid girl.
No.832
>>829I can understand people not wanting Jane to die, but I feel like the vast majority of people who chose to kill Kenny were thinking with their own emotions in the moment, not thinking about what was best for Clementine or what she would have wanted.
I didn't want Jane to die either, but that was her fault.
No.833
>>832I think people didn't read the situation very well. It was obvious for me it was all a big ruse when she told me "you have to trust me". Fuck off, you don't pull that shit on people. I liked her, I really did. But hat's definitely is one of the shitties things somebody has done in TWDG universe, that and kidnapping Clementine.
No.834
Would you call Jane a sefless person?
No.836
>>834Not at all. I think she was a very selfish person, to be honest. You have to be to survive the way she did.
Kenny could be selfish too, but I still have no doubt that he would sacrifice himself for the people he loved, even for Ben who got his family killed.

>>825Wellington was the best ending. They said s3 is going to be from a new perspective, AJ and Clem in Wellington have a new start and Kenny has some peace of mind after all the people he's lost. It's hopeful and bittersweet and i'm content to walk away from the characters seeing it end that way. I cant believe more people didn't pick that ending to be honest.

I'm replaying Season 1 and I still have trouble deciding whether to bring Clem to Crawford or not. Part of me says it's best to keep her from the (what seemed at the time to be) armed guards, but another says it's best not to leave her alone with Omid (who, at the time, was going south) or the threat of something happening at either the house or Crawford with no way to help her or the radio stranger on the loose.
What did /ttgg/ feel about this decision?
No.862

>>862 said, I already answered you on 4chan, but I'll repost mine here because
you can never have enough pictures of ClemI brought her to crawford with me, because she was right. We were a team, and she had managed to be useful on more than one ocassion so it's not like she was a burden to the group by being there. Besides, who cares if they don't allow children in crawford - what we were doing there wasn't exactly going to be winning us any favors with them anyway.

Have your feelings towards Clementine changed over the seasons? I had parental feelings for her in season 1, but that's because I was her new guardian and had to protect her. But now I can't feel that anymore, because I play as her. I decide what she does, I dictate her way, I get to feel how she feels.
I can't see her as a daughter anymore, someone who needs to be protected and looked after. The way she acts doesn't help either, she's literally and adult in an 11 years old body.
No.898
>>897I've always had paternal feelings for Clementine, but after episode 5 of season 2, something changed. I don't know what happened, but I just didn't have the same paternal feelings I that I did before. I have a crude sense of humor and as a result I've made some images of Clem that I'm not proud of. But she's still my daughter, and I could never ever make porn of her.
Replaying season 1 however, reinvigorated my paternal feelings that were somehow lost or changed after finishing 205.
No.902
I have to ask: what the hell is an AV? When Doug says he memorized the codes for the remote control when he was an AV, I always wondered what that was.
No.903
>>888I still think that huge time skip between Season 1 and 2 without any information whatsoever was the biggest slap-in-the-face-cop-out that the writers have pulled to date. It's obvious that Christa's shitty attitude spiraled since Omid wasn't there to balance her out, but come the fuck on.
No.904
>>903What do you think happened to Christa's baby? I think she had an involuntary miscarriage.
No.915
What would you tell Bonnie if you had her in front of you?
No.917
>>897>>898The dichotomy between seasons 1 and 2 is really intriguing to me.
She goes from being objectivized to being subjectivized - from something to be protected, educated, nurtured, to a being that is entirely independent, and no change between seasons could have illustrated that better than the change from NPC to PC.
She possesses the same essence, so you want to say that there exists a unity in your perspective between the two seasons - but the truth is that her growth is a continuum that begins in one place in Season 1 and ends in a very, very different place in Season 2.
No.918
>>902Pretty sure it's just audio/video.
No.925
>>832>not thinking about what was best for Clementine or what she would have wantedI have a problem with this sort of thinking because it removes the player from the equation. It's always been hard for me to play these games "strictly as Clem" or "strictly as a player", so what's best for her or what she wants is essentially what I want, because I'm controlling her, I'm Clementine.
No.926
>>917Exactly. That is why it's difficult for me to see Clementine in the same light I did in season 1.
I'm not her guardian anymore. And she has demonstrated she's as capable as any other experienced survivor and I think that's great, it makes me feel excited for what's coming for her in s3
if she's in it.

No.934

No.938
>>934Jane endings are pretty lame though.
>Let the family in-Sketchy family that will clearly fuck you up.>Don't let the family in-Edgemaster Clementine. Cringeworthy for some.Solo ending
>Permanent scrunch. Doesn't say anything. But ooh boy, the Kenny endings. They're better written and give you this good vibe in both scenarios.
You can finally let Clementine decide for once what will happen to her and the people she stays with. She couldn't do anything about Lee and her parents, but she can do something now. That's enough to make it one of the best endings for me.
No.939
>>938I thought that about the family too but I guess I didn't mind because to me this could easily been Lee and Clem doing the same. The focus on the gun was stupid, though, I think.
>You can finally let Clementine decide for once what will happen to her and the people she stays with. But Clem decides that when she kills Kenny or lets him kill Jane. Her decision to pull the trigger or not is her decision as to who to stay with
No.940
>>939That being said, I do feel sorry for the Kenny ending pickers, and not in a sarcastic way. That ending is fucking beautiful and we all know S3 is going to mar the hell out of it.
Similarly, I think Wellington is a load of crap.
No.942
>>939>But Clem decides that when she kills Kenny or lets him kill Jane. Her decision to pull the trigger or not is her decision as to who to stay withNot really, given how you have the choice to leave them behind for what they did. The reaction from Clementine is clearly different for each one of 'em though.
What I meant is that, in Kenny's scenario they present you this difficult choice you have to do for "the greated good". Lee's "you have to leave me/you have to shoot me" and Christ'as "Clementine, run!" come to mind. Telling Clementine she must do something in order to survive and given how helpless the situation is, she can't say or do anything about it. But now she has that chance with Kenny and she's so content about it I can't help but feel joyful.
Regarding this post>>940 I want to believe telltale will actually work hard this time and keep these characters alive some way or another. I wouldn't mind if they pulled a Christa on Kenny, as long as he's alive I'll be good.

No.948
>>947Because this is Telltale. I'd hate to resort to that, but railroading is their thing. I know there's five endings but a part of me thinks that they will just repeat the same mistakes. S3 will be the deciding factor as to whether our choices matter, and I can easily see a scenario where Wellington falls and Howe's falls, resulting in Clem moving to one new destination.

>>1437Some days are better than others.
We gotta get note converts, which is hard since halfchan autobans anyone saying 8chan, eight Chan, or any other alliteration of the name.
Luckily we have this link to spread

>>1439You can say 4+4chan without getting auto banned, which is nice. Been talking with a couple of people in our 4chan /vg/ counterpart thread, with one of them mentioning they only check once a day and another saying the lack of pedo shit is surprising and encouraging.

Was the stranger a misunderstood dad or a psychotic asshole?
For some reason, his line "we can have a family" came off as extremely weird for me.
No.1550
>>1549I think he was a bit of both. He was a misunderstood dad at first, but losing his family caused him to go crazy.

No.1560
>>1556We can change that, anon. There's still plenty to discuss, for example; Why was Luke so shite?
No.1562
>>1560I liked luke. I don't think, other than some exceptions such as Carver and Aro, I disliked any of the characters.
No.1570
>>1562I really didn't hate any of the characters either, even Rebecca after she apologized to Clementine. Alpo is still a fuck.
Another question, how would you have felt if the season had ended with the four of us, Clementine, AJ, Kenny, and Jane, driving in the car?
No.1571
>>1570I'd still be pissed at Jane for trying to tick Kenny off before he went to siphon gas, but I'd probably prefer that ending. Instead of it ending up with a fight, maybe you can persuade either Jane or Kenny to either go back to Howes or press on to Wellington.
I liked Jane, I really did, but quite frankly I liked Kenny more so I don't think I'll ever end up experiencing the Howes endings first hand.
No.1572
>>1571That's how I feel too. I mean, Kenny did go out of line with the whole nothing line, but Jane went overboard with the family part. I would have preferred if it ended on a somewhat cliffhanger like S1. I don't want Kenny and Jane arguing, and I would prefer that after Clementine woke up they explained what happened to her then they discuss the plan, maybe Kenny having to come to a sharp stop and Clem's face looking out the window in shock, then roll credits.

I don't know aout any of you, but I'm so glad Jane is dead in my gameplay. I hated her.
Also, when will they update the damn stats?
No.1585
>>1583I believe the stats are updated everytime you play the game while connected to the internet. We're just gonna have to face facts, there aren't enough people who regret getting a Jane/alone ending enough to re-do their decision and make the majority people who side with Kenny. Season 3 will cater to the people who went with Jane and let the family since that's the largest majority, and it's going to suck because of it.
No.1589
>>1585No my friend. The same thing happened with episode 4.
The stats haven't changed at all, not even the small figures for a month now and that needs to change.

No.1625
>>1623Having warm clothing is important, anon. All Clem had was a shirt. I know you're just joking, but without that coat she may have succumbed to hypothermia when making her way to the rest stop (or wherever it was that Kenny and Jane duked it out at the end of ep5).
No.1626
>>1625The jacket was thin as fuck. It didn't make much of a difference, and they took it off when they arrived at the shelter.
No.1628
>>1626It was a ski jacket, much better than just a shirt.
No.1629
>>1628I highly doubt that's the defining factor that saved Clem from dying. Considering Bonnie went trough the same wearing even more thin clothes.
The jacket is ugly and needs to go
No.1630
>>1629I meant wandering through the blizzard, not falling in ice. That shit would get you nearly killed regardless of how warm your jacket was.
Hopefully Clem gets a cool new coat, something warm but more resistant than the ski jacket.
It was kinda ugly, to be honest.
