The picture on the left is me from October of last year, and the photo on the right is me today currently. I’ve been completely clean for 8 months and I cannot even put into words how proud I am of myself. Self-harm is not something I thought I would ever be able to overcome because it is a nasty, horrible addiction, but thanks to my therapist, supportive friends, my amazing boyfriend, and my family I can finally say that I am overcoming one of the lowest points in my life and I don’t know what’d I’d do without any of them. I’ve realized that harming myself was the root of all of my problems and I am worth much more than a cold lifeless piece of metal. I will not let depression control my life anymore and I will keep fighting. If you ever feel like you want to harm yourself please message me and I promise I will be there because you have no idea how important you truly are.
