It was a series that excelled at long serialised arcs, and the movies were almost all standalone. They probably should have used the opportunity to depict important events in the story, rather than just doing whatever with them.

You really can't make a film an important part of the bigger narrative, because if you did it would become an integral part of the series. Pretty sure they had to be standalone contractually. I mean otherwise people who followed the show would be missing things and have no clue what was going on.

>>2058820

Londo is such a relatable character tbh.

>You make very good sharks, Mr. Garibaldi. We were pretty good sharks ourselves once, but somehow, along the way, we forgot how to bite. There was a time when this whole quadrant belonged to us. What are we now? Twelve worlds and a thousand monuments to past glories. Living off memories and stories, selling trinkets.

I guess, but for whatever reason, be it money men or anything else, the films weren't really written as a part of the series. No, the problem is they came about as the show moved to TNT in the last season. Everything important was already written but TNT wanted a couple of made for TV movies. So they whipped up a couple.

In The Beginning was mostly a "bring the TNT audience up to speed" thing for the new viewers. If you had been watching the series it was mostly stuff you already knew happened, we just got to see it in for the first time or in extended sequences. The other two were just big expanded standalone episodes.

Little more complicated than that. Talia was a spy so deep she didn't know, but was being pushed to seduce people to get intel.

And not really God and the Devil, that would be Good vs Evil. JMS seems to have made his conflict Law vs Chaos. Neither side was really what one could call "the good guys" once you understood their motivations. But yeah, the Third Age of Man was when we tossed out both sets of meddling superpowers and took responsibility for our own destiny.

And he starting that conversation by nuking their asses, just to be sure he had their attention.

If anybody was a "God" analogy on B5 it would be Lorien, and he left willingly, mostly to made sure the Vorlons and Shadows kept their bargain. But he did make at least one visit back to Human space, in the series ender.

I mean, it would seem that original brown Kosh was something of an individual, or an elder because the other Vorlons they show, like with b4 and Valen, are wearing the same encounter suit as Ulkesh.
