People who think Breaking Bad and Dexter are the best crime series of the decade are fucking normie plebs. Justified is absolutely underrated. Justified is, hands down, the best series of the decade if not the best of the last 20 years. The acting, the plot, the effects. Everything was top notch. Except for Raylan being a huge cuck. He cucked the other guy back later, though (even if only to get cucked again).
That said, I wish Ava and Boyd had stayed together. I wanted the bad guys to win.

People think The Sopranos and The Wire are the best crime series of the last 20 years, and they'd be right. Breaking Bad is more a character study that involves crime as an aspect of the character's identity.
Justified was a good show, but the actors elevated it above the material which was full of standard TV stories. Breaking Bad keeps on theme a lot better not being beholden to procedural cop drama tropes. It has flaws in the writing as well that keep it below the level of The Sopranos but that's largely a product of trying to do something very different and not knowing how to pull it off without a tried and true formula. Justified definitely had a formula, but with much better characters, actors, setting, et cetera that made it better than the yet-another-cop show that it basically was at core.
No one thinks Dexter was the best crime series of the decade.

Maybe it's a bit far-fetched to assume so, but after I learned that Bill Wilson was based on Donald Trump and the plane scene inspired by his 727 I don't think it's that crazy to think he was a major influence.
