Some episodes of louie come to mind, the one where his daughter smokes weed and he gets a flashback to when he stole scales for a drug dealer and what a useless burnout stoner he was made me well up a bit, too close to home(incidentally thats was a true story he talked about it on O&A way back before the show)

I love Louis CK's comedy and his TV work, but don't take it too seriously. I don't know that Horace and Pete thing or whatever, but derision and humor around somebody doesn't always have to be based on fact. South Park could be making the same jokes and it would be instantly accepted as absurdist satire, so why not us? He's obviously not a literal cuck, but he does have some beta opinions and a lot of his humor is self deprecation (like most comedians), so it's just some jokes, most of which aren't funny but some are, at his expense. Taking 8chan jokes seriously in any way ever is a mistake.

Have you listened to him actually talk about the show?

It's a modern day version of cheers, in a old shit bar with old as dirt staff.

Most the dialog is improv, they go into most scenes with just one, or two lines with a focus on whichever characters.

pic related, this guy somehow manages to be the worse than anyone else in the show.

His constant yelling, and inability to form a sentence like a human makes any dialog he's involved in complete shit.

I watched the first episode and it was meandering garbage. The desperate attempt to populate the bar with his buddies - especially Nick DiPaolo and Kurt Metzger who cannot act AT ALL - was really boring.

The thing that bothers me the most is it's the worst part of TV and the worst part of a play. He clearly wanted to set it up like an old sitcom/theater play, but unlike a play you aren't caught in the moment of watching people live and watching it as a group. And then you're stuck with hearing their footsteps and movements echo hollowly because it's a dumb fucking stage. It's got all the faults but none of the electricity and it just reeks of a Louis CK artistic misfire.
