Bear in mind, this is the pedantic historian in me.

You didn't see two-handed longswords show up until the late 13th century or so. So from a historical perspective, it should be a onehanded sword, and in the books it's a one handed sword.

It's not too bad, but it's a really awkward design and completely unhistorical. But I can rationalize it a little bit so it's not big deal.
>Back scabbard
Physically impossible. You can't draw a sword from your back, at least one that big.
In general it bugs me that everyone else is running around with a perfectly reasonable sword, and he's the only one with with a completely out there kind of weapon. But, as far as swords typically go, it's a lot better than most "creative" designs.
