Saw this movie yesterday and a few things are bugging me that I can only guess are the results of cuckbrahms being the producer. I mean, overall it wasn't bad, and I left the theater actually hyped up by the ending, but I'm still seeing some issues.

For starters, they essentially took the plot formula from The Divide but put a Rey-esque MC in there (although Michelle is still infinitely better than Rey in the end), kinda made the aliens aspect a bit wonky, and decided it would be best to remove what made the Divide good when they copied shit over - aka, the fact everyone goes nuts for one reason or another by the end.

Would I like to see a continuation of this? Sure, by all means. But I will fear the worst if it happens.

Stop right there. The movie used a script that was originally called, The Cellar. Abrams only found the script and decided to change the original ending (Michell drives to Chicago and finds the city in flames and she finds out that Howard was not lying about the nuclear fall out) and switched it with aliens because Jew Jew needed the shekel bucks and what better way to do so than use the fans of Cloverfield to get it. Many people enjoyed it, but wished it was not titled 10 Cloverfield Lane since everyone was hoping for was a giant monster like in Cloverfield.

That's fucking stupid. Why not just make the script as-is? Not everything has to tie back to aliens, Abrams you fucking hack. That's like if an Indiana Jones film was just about aliens at the end or something.

Why do so many people complain that the ending doesn't match up with Cloverfield? The Cloverfield monster is literally caught on camera flying down from space into the Atlantic, it was always an alien from the start.

The thing that fell from the sky was a satellite as stated on the blu-ray. The monster was always in the ocean to begin with. It just decided to throw a shit fit because after Tagruato built the oil rig on top of it, sent a research sub to take a look at it, and the lights woke it up.
